For everyone who is in love (or infatuation) with poetry, here's an opportunity to learn the beauty, nuances and techniques of 'ghazal' writing.

Resonart brings to you a three-day workshop on 'Ghazal writing for beginners' conducted by Shri Mahendra Kumar Sani.


Mahendra Ji is one of the most prominent poets, ghazal-go and critics of our times. He hails from Chandigarh and has been teaching Urdu and ghazal-writing for the last many years to people in and outside India. He features regularly on platforms, such as Rekhta, and and also has a book in his name, titled "Maujood Ki Nisbat Se" published by Rekhta Books.

The three-day workshop will be conducted online on October 7, 8 & 9 from 8 - 9 pm (Indian time).

One may register either for all 3 sessions at once or two sessions at once or one session at a time. The cost for one individual session is INR 400, however, if enrollment is done for a group of sessions at once, discount shall be available as follows:

- Session I / II / III - INR 400 each
- Session I & II (at once) - INR 700
- Session II & III (at once) - INR 700 (i.e. if after the first session, booking is done for both the remaining sessions at once)
- Session I, II & III (at once) - INR 1000

It was a wonderful experience for us to go through all the entries we received for “Write Right 3.0”. It was hard to judge them because, (let us reiterate) poetry isn’t something that can be quantified; but, it was even harder to select Top 10 out of them. Nevertheless, we had to and here, we present the 10 finalists of round I of “Write Right 3.0”!

Hearty congratulations to all the finalists!

Here is the structure for Round 2
1. These shortlisted entries will be uploaded on our youtube channel for audience voting by Oct 3,2020.
2. Judging by Literary experts (70% weightage) and Online voting (Likes + Comments = 30% weightage) will be used to arrive at final scores.
3. The winner will receive an Amazon gift Voucher worth INR 1500-/-. Runner up and Special mentions (if any) will get a chance to host our Open mic and be featured in our Poetry events. Certificates of Excellence will be provided to all the Shortlisted participants.

Once again, a huge thank you to everybody who participated. You were all truly wonderful! Keep writing and stay tuned for more contests and open mics in the future!
