Culture and traditions in a Goan wedding are celebrated over four to five days. Goans take celebrations, especially weddings very seriously.

Some of the traditions are:
Chuddo: The bride wears glass bangles of a particular color and design. The bangles represent married life.
Ros: The Bride & Groom are anointed with coconut milk by the family members. It symbolises the beginning of new life, purity and the end of their single life.
Bhuim Jevon: A meal honouring the families ancestors, seeking blessings. A meal shared with the poor people around the village.
Porthopon: A post wedding get together where both familes relax and have a good time bonding over food and of course drinks, feni is a must!
