Today is Hypertension Day, a reminder for us to prioritize our heart health and raise awareness about the dangers of high blood pressure. Hypertension, often called the silent killer, can lead to serious health issues like heart attacks, strokes and kidney disease, if left unchecked.
Take action by getting regular blood pressure checks, maintaining a balanced diet, staying physically active and managing stress effectively. Let's spread the word and encourage our loved ones to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle. So, keep your heart in check - today and every day.
Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)! is being observed today, the 3rd Thursday of May. GAAD's mission is to raise awareness regarding digital accessibility for people living with disabilities.
People with disabilities utilize various features such as alternative text descriptions for images, video captioning, and adaptive hardware to access and engage with digital applications and content. It's essential for everyone to be aware of these accessibility features to ensure that their content is accessible. These tools, when incorporated into digital content, enable people with disabilities to effectively access it.
In alignment with this, we offer you our film on Assistive Devices and Innovative Technology for Blind People https://youtu.be/tYSrpqQZaBs?si=i-M0O6iEybnuRC2q
available on our Disability Awareness website.
Watch the film to see how assistive devices and innovative solutions are reshaping the digital landscape and empowering blind individuals to navigate the world with greater independence and ease!

Our "Towards Inclusion" workshops, designed around our game kit, that we have been conducting for the last four years, brought forth "En-Able" - a year-long program dedicated to raising awareness and building capacity of mainstream school teachers!
The “En-Able” program piloted at Delhi Public School Coimbatore in academic year April 2023- 24 as part of their school calendar, wherein across four quarters, students and teachers got involved in interactive sessions and practical skills in learning to respond to the diverse learning needs of students in their classrooms.
Throughout the academic year, teachers engaged with experts from across the country where they were exposed to diverse strategies and topics like Differentiated Instruction, Universal Design of Learning (UDL) principles, Anumaan Screening Tool, Assistive technology, Planning, Assessments and Feedback on Inclusive Learning and Classroom strategies. The program equipped teachers with real-life tools for inclusive education.
Simultaneously, students of class 8 got the opportunity to meet self-advocates, visit schools under supervision, engaged in understanding the diverse world of people with disabilities through our “Towards Inclusion” card games, Snakes & ladders game, along with screening of films.
Feedback and analysis of the pilot program marked the areas for growth clearly for us. Based on this, we are set to implement the updated “En-Able” program in Delhi Public School Patna in 2024-25 beginning 4th May 2024.
"En-able" stands as a testament to our commitment: empowering educators and nurturing inclusion!
Our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of self-advocates, experts and consultants, without whom this would not have been possible.
Feel free to connect to know more about the program.
