Art Walk Recap: family, fun, fantastic art and food!
Last Saturday, Selah Social team worked with Art and Wonderment, and took us on a lovely tour of a few galleries in Mumbai. We learned about Indian artists, art history and technique. We discussed traditional Indian art and craftsmanship and got to see the works of Ayesha Sultana, KG Subramanian, MF Hussain, SH Raza, Sayan Chanda and Arshi Irshad and many more modern masters.
Afterwards and in true Selah fashion, we finished up our afternoon with a wonderful meal at Mag. St. Cafe.

Art and Wonderment (previously Art Walks Mumbai) aims to broaden, and deepen, art conversations in the city. Our walks foster new ways of seeing, sharing, and thinking about the art on view in Mumbai.
With over 10 years of experience working together to build public audiences for art, we design and lead walks for absolutely everyone.
This Sunday, we kick off a new 6 part series called âThe Culture Codeâ where we will get on a journey of understanding the values and beliefs that drive the ethos of Selah.
In week one, we will deep-dive into what it means to build a âCulture of Loveâ as a reflection of the gospel â Christ loved us first and showed us how we need to love those around us.
Join us in person and online at 11:30 AM
This Sunday, we kick off a new four-week series called âIn GOD We Trustâ.
Weâre doing a deep-dive into the book of Habakkuk to explore how we can stay in faith during difficult seasons and times of tribulation in our lives.
Weâre excited to see you in person and online, 11:30 AM tomorrow. Livestream link in bio.
The gifts and talents God has blessed us with were never for us alone. He invested them in us for the purpose of serving Him and growing his kingdom. God has designed each of us with unique gifts so that we all have something unique to bring to the table, in a way only we can, for HIS glory. When we start to use these gifts for the glory of the one who created them in us, we start to see lasting fruitfulness in our lives.
What has God put in you that you can bring to the table today? Nothing you have is too small or insignificant for him â He can multiply your talents and your harvest as you diligently serve Him.
This Sunday, Hansel Salins being us a powerful word on the tension between comfort zones and our God-designed-purpose.
We can be so busy holding on to what we think is best for us, and the very blessings that God has poured into our lives can often hold us back from launching into the glorious destiny God has for each of us.
Weâre excited to see you tomorrow â in person and online.

No matter the day youâre having today, hereâs a reminder from the psalmist that it is good and fruitful to repose your faith and trust in the Lord. We can be confident of this, that we will see the goodness of the Lord.
All we need to do is to trust.
This Sunday, Joel Ballejos draws on Genesis 27 to bring to us a sermon on lying, and how it can feel like itâs a necessary sin in a world where we repeatedly place our desires above Godâs desires for our lives.
Join us online on Zoom or in-person, at Lower Parel. Details at the link in bio. See you at 11.30am :)
This Sunday, Pastor Shelton brings to us ideas on generosity, and how God works through our giving to impact our lives, our devotion, and the communities we live in.

Hereâs a promise to cling to this week, if youâre navigating tough stuff. Know that Jesus doesnât watch us deal from a distance, but he sits with us in our struggles, he walks through the fire with us, and he holds us close in the midst of the storm.
How can we support you in prayer this week? Talk to us in the comments.
âLOOK, I AM YOUR FATHERâ â Star Verse 1:9
Okay, okay, weâre kidding.

Itâs back to school season!
Our dearest Swati not only brings joy into the lives of her Selah family but is also such an asset to the community.
Swati is the founder of the Mamta K.G. Schools, Pune which is run by the Mamta Trust.
Currently the schools need support in raising funds for basic education supplies and stationery.
We at Selah believe that support builds a strong community. So we call on all of our family and friends to contribute to the needs of the school in any way you can.

Last Sunday, Rachel took us on a deep-dive into the world of spiritual warfare.
Reframing our understanding of spiritual warfare in light of the Gospel allows us see it for what it really is in the life of a believer, rather than the extreme views that have become the leading narrative on the subject.
We all encounter spiritual warfare in everyday, relatable, real-life situations, but the great news is that there are simple practices that can allow us to be daily-battle-ready!
Here are this weekâs keynotes with context, scripture and take aways for you to dive deeper into as you explore the subject further this week.
Acts 2:1-4 / MSG
When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale forceâno one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building.
Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them.
Let us prepare hearts and engage with the Holy Spirit in anticipation of Pentecost Sunday!
We canât wait to see you all in person and online.
If youâre young at heart, and are looking for like-minded folks to talk to about your faith, or about faith, RLVNT is for you!
DM us to know more:)
Last Sunday, Ps. Shelton Davidson took us on a journey into understanding the dimensions and characters of the Holy Spirit. He mentioned at least 20 unique facets of the person of the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine a life where we are actually able to tap into each one of these? đ¤Żđ¤Żđ¤Ż Like Ps. Shelton said in his message â having access to the Holy Sprit but not engaging with Him is like having all the wealth in the world but living like a pauper! Letâs start engaging this week and letâs allow Him to change our lives in the way only He can.
Welcome to a new series at Selah that delves into the supernatural aspects of our walk with Jesus: prayer, what it means to be spirit filled, spiritual warfare and more. Join us on Sundays at 11.30am, in-person and live on Zoom.
Details are available at the link in bio.
If youâve ever wondered if your identity can ever be more than where youâre from, or what you do, swipe through to read this set of Sermon Keynotes from our current series, âTrue Identityâ.
If this resonates with you, please share it onwards.
Simple questions can have profound implications in our lives.
As always, we are happy to chat via DM if you have questions.
See you next Sunday for the next chapter of True Identity.
Last Sunday, we got into Part 3 of the Series "True Identity", where we looked at Success as a source of our identity.
We zoomed into the story of Jonah to learn that revelling in success rather than focusing on what God is doing, and fixing our eyes on what is temporary over what is eternal can take away from everything we are called to build.
Check out the sermon keynotes from this week, and don't forget to catch the sermon on YouTube if you missed it! đ
