India's soyabean meal exports for the 2022-23 oil year doubled to 18.4 lakh tonnes, driven by heightened demand from South East Asian nations. Major buyers include Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Nepal, Kuwait, Iran, and the USA. The surge reflects a robust start to the new oil year, with October 2023 witnessing 1 lakh tonnes in exports. Madhya Pradesh, a leading soyabean producer, plays a pivotal role in contributing over 60% to the national output. Exporters, optimistic about the season, aim to secure deals with countries like Iran and South East Asia.
