International Women's Day was organized at CNISSI on 16th March 2024. Mrs. Shalini Dupare , the first lady of the Nagpur Diocese was the Chief Guest of the program for a theme" Invest In Women accelerate progress". The others Guests were Mrs. Neerja Prasad, National Secretary for ICWM and Dr. Ms. Kalpana Jadhav, Treasurer for ICWM. Mrs. Neerja Prasad delivered the talk on accelerating the progress by meaningfully investing in women. Mrs. Aradhana Upadhyay earlier welcomed the Guest and later talked about role of the women in the society and how CNISSI is investing in women by building their capacity. Dr. Ms. Kalpana Jadhav encouraged the women with a meaningful poem. The Women's group welcomed the guest with a song and shared their experiences of how they were benefitted while there association with CNISSI. The trainees of Skill development unit of CNISSI presented themselves in a attire of the influential women of the society. Mrs Shalini Dupare, Chief Guest of the program in her talk congratulated the women and the trainees for their confidence and encouraged them . Prizes were given to the best trainees in the attire of Influential women. Mrs. Shanta Barsagade shared about the intervention of CNISSI among the women of the slum and rural areas.
Rev. Karim David Memorial Lecture was organised by NCCI-URM on 20th April 2024 at CNISSI Nagpur . Rev. Karim David was the founder Director of CNISSI (ISI) and also laid foundation of many struggle movements and union such as Rickshaw pullers movement called "CHALAK MALAK ", Nagpur Orange Growers Association (NOGA) which later became a well-known NOGA Factory in Nagpur. Rev. Dr. Asir Ebenezer, General Secretary, NCCI delivered the inspirational talk about Rev Kareem David sir's life and lessons learnt. Ms. Vimal Jadhav , Director CRTDP and the family members of late Karim David were present on this occasion. Mr. Vilas Shende and Ms. Vimal Jadhav shared their experiences of working with Rev. Karim David. Mrs. Aradhana Upadhyay, Director, CNISSI welcome the gathering and Mr. Rajesh Jadhav, coordinator, VCLC, conducted the proceedings of the program. The program was attended by Social Activists from different states and local NGO 's.
A skill training program for the tailoring trade began on 22nd March 2024, at CNISSI. The trainees are benefited through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme an initiative designed to offer comprehensive assistance to artisans and craftspeople nationwide. The skill training under the scheme aims to promote entrepreneurship and provide benefits to people working in several trades, like craftsmen, artisans, and workers in the informal sector. Mr. Hemant Sonare, Chairman of Textile association, Mr. Vilas Shende, Vice President, CNISSI and Mrs. Aradhana Upadhyay were the speakers on this occasion.
workshops for two days, each was organised on 17th - 18th January 2024 and 29th - 30th January 2024 in Malegaon and Bhramni village respectively. The workshop benefited 60 women directly for the sustainability of their livelihood through skill and entrepreneurial training.

Women are motivated so that they can build up small groups for self-employment and micro-enterprises.
Savitri Bai Phule jayanti was celebrated on 4th January 2024 at wanjra slum. The objective was to inculcate the qualities of gender justice. Mrs. Aradhana Upadhyay Director CNI-SSI in her talk shared how Savitri Bai Phule started school for girls and women facing all the odds. The women and children of the slum were benefitted. The children presented cultural expression and gifted beautiful hand made greeting cards to the guest. While the women shared their experiences.
75th Republic Day was celebrated at CNI-SSI on 26th January 2024. Mrs. Priya Anthony was the chief guest and hoisted the National flag of the country. Mrs. Shalini Kurude retd. The principal was a guest of honour. The trainees presented cultural expression. The guests and Director CNI-SSI motivated the trainees with their talk.

Glimpses of Christmas celebration 2023 at CNISSI.
Thanks to the respected Bishop Paul Dupare, Dy. Moderator CNI Synod, Bishop of CNI Nagpur Diocese and President CNISSI, and the Board members for their gracious presence. It was the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Bishop Paul Dupare delivered the Christmas message on this occasion. Trainees , women beneficiaries of Self Help Groups and Children of Child development initiative of CNISSI presented cultural expression. Mrs. Aradhana Upadhyay presented PPT on activities of CNISSI. The winners of various competitions organized during Annual Competitions were given mementos on this occasion. The program was well attended by the By the beneficiaries and well wishers of CNISSI. The team of CNISSI worked hard to make this program a success.

Teacher's Day was celebrated today on 5th September 2023 at CNI-SSI. The trainees presented cultural expressions to show their love and respect for the teachers. Games were organised for the staff. Prizes were distributed to the winners. During the program certificate and prizes were distributed to the trainees also for Rakhi making competition conducted in August 2023.

A Children's Get together was organized by CNISSI on 23rd June 2023 at Malegaon Village. The objective was to encourage the children and develop confidence among them. The Sarpanch of the village , Gram Sabha Members , Dr. Ms. Kalpana Jadhav , attended the program and were happy to note the change in the children. The Children presented cultural expression. prizes were distributed to encourage and motivate the children. CNISSI is working with the children in Malegon and lakori village of Katol Block. It was good to observe Joy and happiness among the children. The team of CNISSI worked hard to make this program a success.

While Indian Christian Women’s Movement (ICWM) , working for the cause of justice to the women of the society who are vulnerable. jointly organized a program on 15th March 2023 at CNI-SSI Sadar Nagpur to celebrate international women’s Day. The theme of the program was “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, to aware about growing cyber crime and also to recognize and celebrate the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. ”.
Dr. Ashok Bagul, ACP, cyber crime and Additional charge, Pratapnagar Police station was the chief guest and Mrs Anna Nikalje, Principal Wilson College, Mumbai, was guest of honor for the program.
CNISSI reaching out to the children of villages in Katol block through the project empowering children shaping the future. Children are educated with the help of charts, audio and visual. Also various competition are conducted and prizes are given to encourage the children to give their best.

Our Story
Church of North India Social Service Institute (CNI-SSI) also known as Industrial Service Institute is an effort by the Ecumenical Churches to express their concern for people’s needs. CNI-SSI is a response to socio-economic, political, cultural and environmental problems and issues that are creating disparity among people. It is a people’s movement that began its journey in late sixties addressing the issues of the Industrial labour in Nagpur. In eighties a massive movement of Cycle Rickshaw pullers movement was lead by CNI-SSI. In nineties ISI organized slum women for awareness, training and empowerment and started number of training programmes to increase productivity, efficiency and protect their rights.
The present work is addressing the socio-Economic conditions of the rag pickers community, Marginalized farmers, Women and children from different oppressed communities. Providing Vocational (skill development) training and empowering the un - employed youth and women for socio- economic freedom is one of the main activities of the organization. CNISSI was registered as society in 1982 and moving on with the mission to liberate the communities from the bo***ge of poverty and oppressive social - political structures.
CNISSI continues to work for and with downtrodden and marginalized women, youth, children and farmers in the Vidharbha region of Maharashtra through various initiatives. And has made remarkable impression in the field of community development and Human Rights.
