Founder's Day is not just a day to commemorate our visionary and leader, our founding father- Late Shri N C Jain but the day to celebrate his philanthropic ideas, his mission to discover one’s own truth and empower others in their journey of self- actualisation. To weave this altruistic vision into a memorable presentation, The Heritage School, Rohini proudly hosted the Founder's Day celebration at the campus on 28 April 2023 on the theme- SYMPHONY OF LIFE. The mesmerizing collusion of varying notes and rhythms on the tabla as well as the ‘dance poetry’ presentation showcased by our students left the audience in a trance as the teachings of Nirvana Shatakam, a powerful spiritual hymn, came to life. The event was more than a celebration, it was an exercise in self-reflection to gain profound insight into one’s true nature, that is nothing but pure consciousness. We strive to internalise this story of life and continue to build a better world for ourselves and others, walking the footsteps of our revered Chairman sir.

Our Children of Classes IV to VII are all set and geared up to be on the field and enjoy the athletic events planned for them through the Atheletic Meet, *Athlitika Agon* !

Based on the Olympic values, this Event will bring lots of opportunities for Children to cultivate and depict the acts of *respect*, *friendship and excellence* on the field while playing.

As they beat the heat, let us all cheer them up and wait for the glimpses of the Event!!

A structure built on a strong foundation can weather any storm. With this vision in mind, our revered Chairman, Mr. N C Jain embarked on his altruistic journey to empower scores of young minds with perseverance, authenticity, passion and deep-rooted values being the cornerstones in this endeavour. Today, we live his dream of creating and sustaining a healthy, nurturing learning community that thrives on the six dharmic principles fostering excellence in every pursuit, paying attention to self and others and contributing to the welfare of all.

On the 22nd February 2023, team Heritage found itself in the lawns of the Embassy of Hungary to celebrate with them Busójárás. This is an annual celebration in Mohács, Hungary, to say goodbye to winters and augur in the spring months.

Our artists from Grade IX under the guidance from their teachers, participated enthusiastically by creating their own Busó mask. Not only did the team come home enriched with experiences and legends about the festivities but they bagged the second position for their creativity and efforts as well.

Our Children of Class V worked tirelessly throughout the year to nurture their herb garden with love and warmth. As an endeavour to reduce carbon footprint and promote organic survival, our budding entrepreneurs have created their own organic herbal products such as _Lemongrass and Mint Essential Oil, Aloevera paper soaps, Hibiscus soap bars and dried mint powder_ with the herbs grown in their very own Herb Garden in the School campus.🌱🌎

From researching to creating to pricing and finally bringing them to community; the process has been miraculous in promoting rigour and grit among our pioneers to make an impact and build an empathetic community, together! 🤝

Our Children are all set with these organic products and making these available to us on the *9th and 10th of March, 2023* in the School Campus with the name of their brand 'The House of Organics'.🌱

The Junior School theatre productions were a huge success. Children and teachers worked hard for more than a month on these productions. The process was gratifying and immensely engaging for all involved. Children created visuals and images for their plays themselves and there was a deep understanding of the symbolism present in the stories they performed. They could see a story within a story and brought beautiful abstractions to the otherwise linearly told stories.
We will continue to create such meaningful engagements for all our children!

The Children of Class IV recognized *_Empathy Building*_ as their core SAP area.

After frequent rounds of conversations and brainstorming, they thought of knitting a piece of warm, woollen item, with love for someone who braves the harsh Delhi winters and support Children in everyday lives, dear Didis and Bhaiyas of our School.

Children designed a Quality Circle Time for them and gifted the hand-knitted collars along with gratitude for everything that they do for us!

The entire journey has touched the Children deeply and shown them that small acts of empathy and kindness go a long way in creating empathy in society at large. 🫶🤝

Our Class VIII Green Gardeners have done it all, from getting the field ready, sowing the seeds, fencing their farm, taking care of the plants, to finally harvesting the vegetables of their hardwork! 🤝🌱🫶🍀

Children washed, chopped, cooked, served and relished the scrumptious food that they grew organically without using any chemical fertilizer or pesticide.

The taste of the palak pakoras, methi parantha, green mint chutney and veggie salad was enough to reveal the magic of nature, love, care and empathy with which these plants were grown!

The *Green Garner's Day* was the day to culminate this year's journey of Social Action Project of Class VIII, however was an inspiration to one and all who became a part of this initiative to grow plants organically and give back to Mother Earth, their love and care!

"Experiential Learning” has become the buzzword for every school that claims to be progressive.

But as one digs deeper it becomes evident that the claims are backed by limited understanding of what, why and how of experiential learning!

The Heritage School, an experiential learning institution has always strived to instill a culture of empathy in its students for people and environment.

This Session, the Students of Class VIII identified the problem of toxicity in food and took the initiative to create an organic farm inside the school premises, using all the practices of organic farming. We are delighted to share that our vegetables are ready to harvest! 🥳🍀

To celebrate their efforts and hardwork, we are dedicating tomorrow's day, i.e the 14th February, 2023 as *Green Garner's Day*.

Students will be harvesting their food-based plants and preparing dishes for the entire Grade.

Hope this journey inspires them to continue some good green practices at home as well! 😊🌱

Today, we marked our last visit to the French library for this session!

The young Francophiles of Grade VI curated beautiful memories as they watched a French movie, interacted in French, played a cultural quiz and were surrounded by books.

It is in the minutiae of each moment that our lives are lived. Silence has the power to change one's life. Mindful actions not only invoke peace, but also cultivate a deeper, inner silence which empowers us to dwell in the present moment.

The two days of collective mindfulness with Ahimsa Volunteers, as a 'Sangha', created an ambience that enabled us to rejuvenate our connections and begin anew. Our teachers experienced a multitude of activities such as: community singing of songs and chants, compassionate speaking and deep listening, pebble and walking meditation, circle and group sharing. It unfolded a deep exploration in different aspects of self-awareness.

As a community of educators, we were able to spend time together to contemplate and deepen the commitment to our collective vision and School Dharma.
