When I started working in the fashion accessories space, box bags were our first ever product, and literally my bread and butter for the first year of business

As we grew, we discovered new products, met new buyers with different tastes and partnered with boutiques across different countries and continents.

Let's talk about the history of beaded bags today :) !

The bags of the early 20th century were quite small, as women weren’t carrying around much more than makeup, a handkerchief, and a mirror. Bolder women may have had a little bit of money or a few ci******es.

Throughout the late 19th and early 20th century, most beaded bags were being made by European artisans. France and Austria were some of the most popular early exporters, with some American manufacturers joining in around the 1910s.

Evening bags were meant to be worn like jewelry, carried in a way that they could be shown off and admired. Around the 1940s, the production and export of beaded bags began to expand throughout parts of Asia. Many beaded bags in the 1950s and 60s were made by specialty shops in Hong Kong and Japan

It was somewhere in the late 1970s and early 80s that India ventured into this industry, taking inspiration from the intricate dabka work, beaded and sequin embroidery done for Lehengas and blouses.

As of today, India is one of the top 5 exporters of intricate beaded bags and accessories and has over the years designed bags for bold and enterprising women, keeping in mind their comfort

Thanks to my clients,supporters and followers, I've never had to run for sales in the name of "handmade/small business or slow fashion", sell our products at exorbitant prices or reduce my prices to run after buyers who do not align with our value system.

Inspired by Dell, our low inventory and high pre-order/made to order model was a testimony of sustainability !

As a planet which is already consuming so many resources, we believe in creating each and every product without wasting a lot of raw material.

Growing at almost 2× to 3× every year since the past 6 years, I've learnt innovation is key. Failures are important. Some products are not going to work despite months of efforts, but some are going to be a game changer within no time and take your business of the roof !
