Manzil
A community of learners where every teacher is a student first and every student can be a teacher💫 Where students are teachers and teachers are students.
Manzil; a school without teachers
Manzil is a place where boundaries blur, where conventionally defined spaces and roles are challenged and the unifying emotion is Love. Love that nurtures young minds to think independently and to reclaim the joy of learning resources.

Shaam-e-Shukriya, an evening of gratitude and camaraderie, unfolded with warmth and joy as Manzil's donors, volunteers, board members, partners and well-wishers gathered to honor their collective efforts in nurturing and uplifting the organization.
As attendees mingled, exchanging smiles and stories, it became evident that this gathering was about more than formal acknowledgments—it was about forging meaningful connections. Conversational cards facilitated open round table discussions, allowing donors, volunteers, and team members to engage in heartfelt conversations, sharing perspectives, experiences, and aspirations. Manzil was honored to have recently taken part in the esteemed "Creativity in Education Conference," co-hosted by UNESCO, New Delhi, alongside Manish Jain, Shikshantar, and Khrisha Ambani of the New Earth Foundation on March 15th. The central focus of the conference revolved around the question of "how can we collaboratively enhance the opportunities for nurturing the creativity of children within the education system?"
During the conference, Manzil was privileged to present our distinctive approach to education through our dedicated stall. We emphasized the specific methodologies and programs we employ to integrate creativity seamlessly into the learning journey. Moreover, we actively engaged with speakers and fellow organizations, eagerly absorbing insights into their creative educational initiatives.
This event served not only as a platform for sharing our innovative practices but also as a forum for exchanging valuable insights and garnering inspiration from esteemed colleagues in the field.
We wish to express our sincerest appreciation to the organizers for extending their invitation to us and affording us the invaluable opportunity to participate in this enriching event.
Meet Prateek Kashyap, a remarkable individual whose journey with us is a testament to the transformative power of education. At 21 years old, Prateek initially joined our classes as a theatre enthusiast. However, driven by his passion for coding, he transitioned into teaching JavaScript classes at Manzil.
Reflecting on his experience as both a student and a teacher, Prateek embodies our core belief that “every student is a teacher, and every teacher can be a student.” He has witnessed firsthand the profound impact of this ethos, realizing that teaching what you’ve learned not only enriches the lives of others but also enhances one’s own understanding and growth simultaneously.
Prateek’s journey is a shining example of the reciprocal nature of learning and teaching, where every interaction fosters growth and empowerment. We are proud to have him as part of our community, inspiring others to embrace the joy of lifelong learning and sharing knowledge.
We are thrilled to the story of our student, Mansi Lodhi, from

Pursuing her passions far from home, Mansi navigates the challenges of adapting to a new culture while embracing the opportunities to expand her horizons through education, volunteering, and cultural exchange. Her story highlights the importance of staying true to oneself, the value of community service, and the power of exchange programs to transform lives.

With over 30 enthusiastic participants, the session aimed to shed light on crucial aspects of reproductive health and empower young minds with essential knowledge.
The session encompassed various topics tailored to address the physical and emotional changes experienced during adolescence. Participants engaged in discussions about the intricate nature of reproductive health, exploring the nuances of physical development and emotional well-being during this transformative phase of life.
One of the focal points of the session was menstrual hygiene, a topic often shrouded in taboo and misinformation. Through interactive presentations and open dialogues, students gained valuable insights and debunked myths surrounding this important topic.

Introducing Milli Mehra: A Journey of a Student-Teacher at Manzil
Meet Milli Mehra, an 18-year-old who embarked on her educational journey at Manzil in 2022 after completing her 12th grade in a semi-government school. Her story is one of growth and the power of education.
Initially joining Manzil as an English student to enhance her language skills, Milli’s journey took an unexpected turn when she was offered the opportunity to become a teacher herself. The English coordinator at Manzil recognized her potential and invited her to join the teaching team. After careful consideration and discussions with her father, Milli embraced the role with enthusiasm and dedication.
During her initial months, Milli immersed herself in the learning process, observing classes, understanding teaching dynamics, and nurturing student-teacher relationships. She diligently focused on teaching reading, pronunciation, word meanings, and synonyms, tailoring her approach to meet the diverse needs of her students.
Challenges inevitably arose, including the task of understanding each student’s level and adapting her teaching methods accordingly. However, with the support and guidance from her English coordinator and fellow teachers, Milli navigated through these obstacles with resilience and determination.
Today, Milli proudly serves as the English Level 1 teacher at Manzil, where she not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures her aspirations. Dreaming of becoming an air hostess, teaching at Manzil provides her with the perfect platform to refine her skills while contributing to the community she holds dear.
The weekly teachers’ meetings at Manzil serve as a catalyst for Milli’s growth, providing her with a platform to exchange ideas, learn from fellow educators, and embark on a collective journey of improvement and excellence.
In Milli’s story, we see the transformative power of education and the endless possibilities it brings. As she nurtures the minds of her students, Milli herself embodies the ethos of lifelong learning—a true testament to the spirit of Manzil.

Recently, our student and volunteer, Poonam, embarked on a three-month-long experiential learning expedition: "The Great Indian Treasure Hunt" (Sep–Dec 2023). Poonam seized the unique opportunity to immerse herself in the realms of social change, environmental solutions, and collaborative experiences.
The structured program served as a catalyst for not only making meaningful contributions to communities but also fostering personal and professional growth for Poonam. Engaging in immersive experiences and hands-on projects, she cultivated resourcefulness, honed teamwork abilities, and expanded her knowledge beyond familiar boundaries.
The journey unfolded through five emotional zones – comfort, fear, curiosity, learning, and growth – becoming a transformative process for Poonam. Overcoming initial fears and embracing curiosity, each phase propelled her toward a profound inner transformation.
By the program's conclusion, Poonam emerged as an agent of change, equipped with improved self-confidence, tolerance, and enhanced social skills.
