10 days to the new year … and n my mind there’s a lot to be grateful for and a lot more to look forward in the new year..

Today Lucifer (our home brew 1.0tsi polo) been with us for a year and a half…

It all started when back in 2020 a customer called to say if we could work on his 1.0tsi Polo which was due to be delivered in a few weeks at the time. I think by calendar date it was one of the 1st Polos delivered in an around Delhi/NCR. Benching marking it on our all wheel drive dyno we stumbled the potential the 1.0tsi engine had if certain criteria were addressed. A few months later came our very own 1.0tsi Polo and it’s was a blank page literally, no where in the world does the 1.0tsi come in the 6r chassis. Meanwhile Indian social media was rife with how it was a dud just like the 1.2tsi sold here just with a cylinder less 🤣. We’ve always taken the challenge to build the underdog, be it the Zen (Merlin), the G13swift (Vigilanti) and thanks to public perception this seemed to be on the same lines. So we went ahead and put on our dyno rollers the 1st iteration and the gains we ‘decent’. Full load at work meant it got parked in one of the bays all of 300km old. Then came the speed sport ‘homies’ who hooned it around and came back saying this is kick ass for a daily driver. Then came 8 Polo 1.0tsi’s all straight out of the showroom for us to ‘replicate’ what we did on ours (talk about test mule marketing). Inac 2022 dates got announced,So we started thinking ‘race car’ and not fast street car … some hard ware changes and software mutations…lol we got to a point where it looked like we wouldnt look like amateurs at the Delhi/NCR round of the INAC 2022. My day day made, partly because we went fastest on both days, car did well but mainly because the opinion leaders on automotive social media platforms said it’s not possible ! We put out most of our Dyno plots early on, but then they said the Dyno isn’t legit ..lolzz. So do take the time out to see the whp and wheel torque on a globally recognised hub dyno 🫶🏽.

All this on factory ecu hardware they said it wasn’t possible… now someone gift me a stand alone so we can open all those ponies which are being shy ☺️.

My love for Porsche started here ! Back in the year 2002. And boy what a bar this set ! 944 Turbo ‘S’ only 1635 produced in the world, (broadly based on the 944 cup car from ‘88 and this car was modded slightly to accelerate like a bat out of hell. Took many years to sit in another car which had such a shove in a seat !! fan for life.

As the dust settles after the 2 qualifier rounds of the National Autocross Championship in Delhi/NCR, we are elated to have qualified for the grand finals in all categories entered. Our home brew Vw Polo 1.0tsi build was the quickest car outright on both days (INAC round 1 & INAC round 2), we came to round 2 only to set a time and did only 1 run. It was hot, dusty and a track which was fully dug up by the time our category runs were called for line up.

We thank everyone who stood by us thru this ground up build with no precedent to fall back on as it’s a 1 if 1 type of build. There were people who said it wasn’t possible, there were people who laughed it off as a gimmick which would be a one acceleration pull wonder at best but nor did we want to take the moral high ground nor did we want to play the under dog, we did what we set out to do period !, as a company which has built some very potent Autocross and Cross Country Rally cars over the last 14 years (the results are there to show) it is again a matter of pride to showcase what can be achieved with a obd reflash tune (and it’s limitations) if you know what to go after on the map 🙃, a oem turbocharger to keep costs down, a in-house exhaust system, a set of AVO 2 way adjustable suspension to put the power down and go thru corners with great efficiency and off-course some Speed Sport ingenuity. 😈

There more to do on the car and this is just the tip of the iceberg 💝… we aren’t done just yet.

2nd gear full around a hairpin right Rally of Coimbatore!

Long time no see my friend 🏆

Last minute opportunity came knocking on the door a few hours before entries closed for the round 2 of the INRC Rally of Coimbatore last weekend. Got in to Coimbatore just in time for recce and ceremonial start the same day. Next day on the transport to the 1st stage car felt good but in ss1 a niggling throttle pedal issue saw us 49 seconds down on the leader at the end of 54kms of stages in leg 1. Having fixed the issue in service leg 2 was fun ! Going fastest in INRC 3 for leg 2 and finishing 2nd in category, 3.7 seconds behind the eventual winner and overall 5th. Leads me to think this needs to be done more often 💭.
