On this day in 2003 (25th October), India’s Golden Boy Pankaj Advani won his first ever world title by winning the IBSF World Snooker Championship 2003 in China defeating Saleh Muhammad of Afghanistan 11-5

With that win Pankaj became the second Indian to win the World Snooker Championship.

In Senior Snooker, Subrat Das defeated Nishant Biswal (6-5) to win his fifth snooker championship title.

By defeating Kunal Agarwal (4-3) in the Senior Billiards Category, Subrat also won the title.

Syed Azlan Ali finished as the runner up in both the Sub Junior and Junior Billiards and Snooker Categories, while Vishesh Singhal won the championship in both disciplines.

The National Billiards and Snooker Championships, which will take place in Chennai later this year, will feature all of the champions and runners-up from the State of Odisha.

Vinayak Agrawal wins the UP State 6Red Snooker Ranking Tournament 2023.
In the final he defeated Mohd. Arbaz 6-1 to win the title.

Earlier in the semis, Vinayak registered 5-2 win over Ayush Mittal 5-2, whereas Arbaz knocked out Vansh Panjwani 5-3.
