Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies hosted a Model United Nations (MUN) orientation for students in grades 11 and 12 on May 4, 2024. Students from various schools across Delhi participated in this orientation.

The event, led by Paavan Arora, aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the world of simulated diplomacy.

The orientation delved into the core principles of MUN, providing a comprehensive understanding of the United Nations structure and its various committees. Students explored the diverse global issues tackled in MUN simulations, from security concerns to human rights and environmental challenges.

In a unique collaboration, the orientation welcomed six students from KPS, who are set to participate in an upcoming MUN conference on 11 & 12 May . KAPSIANS offered valuable insights and practical advice on research, public speaking, and negotiation, the necessary skills to thrive in MUN.

MUN orientation provided a stimulating launchpad for students to embark on a journey of intellectual and personal growth. By actively participating, familiarizing themselves with resources, and practicing their skills, these future diplomats are on their way to becoming valuable contributors to the world stage. The collaboration with KPS students further enriched the experience, offering a glimpse into the actual MUN environment and the exciting challenges that await.

Our Grade IX boffins loved every bit of the recent Planner Activity titled "Fun with Science Vocabulary".

The students deeply immersed in their roles, enjoyed playing Vocabulary Charades, gaining knowledge in a fun way. An actor got combusted 😉while enacting COMBUSTION whereas the other radiated 😉his acting skills to depict RADIATION.

Everyone present learnt many new Scienti-fy words.

The capacity-building programme on Active Learning, led by Ms. Rekha Pachauri and Ms. Rama Shankar under CBSE Centre of Excellence, Delhi West, commenced on April 27,2024 by warmly welcoming the resource persons by School Principal, Dr Reema Tandon, along with Mr. Yogesh (Sr. Co-ordinator) Ms.Bandan Preet Mahajan (Academic Incharge) & Ms. Bhavna Suri (Primary Wing Co-ordinator).

The workshop focused on fostering student engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, and NEP 2020 implementation. It empowered teachers with effective tools to create dynamic learning environments, promoting curiosity and lifelong learning through a series of activities & AV aids

The session served as an eye-opener, encouraging educators to embrace innovative pedagogical approaches.

Observance of Earth Day🌎 is proof enough that even one person👨‍🦱 can make a global 🌈 impact in a positive 💫 way.

Echoing🗣️the same, Kamal Public School celebrated “Earth Day🌎” on April 22, 2024 through a series of activities🎨 done by Pre - School and Pre - Primary students.

A special💫 assembly was organised where the students 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦explained the importance of saving the Earth🌎 by reciting a poem, reciting lines and presenting a role play about how our planet 🌎 and environment 🌳 clean 🧹 and green💚.

Green Colour Day💚 was also celebrated where children 👼wore green👗 attire to show their love towards Mother🌳 Nature🌎.

The assembly began with an enchanting prayer led by teachers followed by maximalist surprise acts:

🌎 Ramp Walk by Panchtatva and
🌎 Boxing Bout between Healthy Food and Junk Food.

This was followed by a Nukkad Natak celebrating our dear blue planet enumerating ways & means of protecting the environment.

A beautiful collaboration of Yoga-Aerobics-Skating was also presented by our dear KAPSIANS commemorating World Health Day.

Last but by no means least, was an energetic dance performance bringing all the hands up in the air.

School Principal Dr. Reema Tandon applauded the conscientious efforts of the students & teachers who put up such a great event.

As a souvenir of appreciation, she was presented a terrarium by students. The assembly was also attended by Management Committee Member, Ms Shreya who praised the relentless efforts of the mentors & mentees.

🌾A mesmerizing dance💃 performance was presented by our Li’l Stars🌟 of Grade I, shining bright 💥and spreading love.

🌾An invigorating speech was delivered by the students on Baisakhi✨ and this was followed by a Punjabi folk 🎼 song sung by the students named 😊 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐍𝐢 𝐀𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐲𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐨🥳.
