Today, on the 28th of July 2023, I am filled with gratitude as I reflect on the transformative journey I embarked on exactly one year ago. It was on this day that I underwent the life-changing Gastric Sleeve Surgery at the esteemed Pushpawati Singhania Hospital & Research Institute in New Delhi, India, expertly performed by the renowned Dr. Sumeet Shah.
Prior to the surgery, I grappled with several significant health challenges that deeply affected my well-being. Sleep apnea, joint pain, high excess uric acid, and high cholesterol weighed heavily on me, impacting not only my physical health but also my emotional state. I felt an overwhelming fear within, which made me hesitant to take the necessary steps towards improving my condition.
Yet, in the face of these obstacles, I was blessed with an incredible support system—my beloved family. My dear husband, Leonard Marealle, and my precious twin girls, Joyceline and Eve, demonstrated unwavering determination to see me regain my health and vitality. Their love and encouragement gave me the strength to confront my fears and seek a solution.
In this pivotal moment, fate smiled upon me, leading me to our kind neighbor, Roy Mbande, from Boko. Roy took the time to explain every detail of the surgery and facilitated a connection with the exceptional Dr. Sumeet Shah through a video call. This encounter ignited a newfound sense of readiness within me, and I knew it was time to take a leap of faith.
Grateful beyond words, I must also extend my heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Jamhuri Kitenge at DCMC, who persistently urged me to address my weight-related concerns during my visits to the hospital. His unwavering advice, coupled with the medical reports that highlighted the gravity of the situation, convinced me to proceed with the life-altering surgery.
Among the blessings I cherish most is the presence of my baby sister, Tumaini Saryael Munuo, who selflessly accompanied me on this journey. Despite being five months pregnant, she took on the responsibility of caring for me with boundless love and compassion. Her constant support and tender care made the entire experience more manageable and comforting.
Today, I dedicate this heartfelt testimony to all those who, like me, desire to take charge of their health. I want to share a message of courage and hope—do not let fear hinder you from taking the necessary steps towards a healthier, happier life. You are deserving of a second chance, just as I have been blessed with mine.
As I look back on this remarkable day, I embrace the role of a devoted wife and mother with a renewed sense of vitality and appreciation for life. To all those who supported me through this transformative journey, I extend my deepest gratitude.
With love and gratitude,
Caroline Munuo Marealle

From 165 kgs to 100 kgs in just 8 months and getting rid of Diabetes medications, Sleep Apnea (& usage of BIPAP machine), normal BP and regression in liver damage due to Fatty Liver Disease. All these benefits may not be apparent to you on surface. But, that is the real & major change which has happened.
Physical appearance is an added bonus.

From the gory history of amputations without "anaesthesia" & "asepsis" to the modern day Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery using small cuts, robots, 3 D vision systems, advanced energy devices & staplers - Surgery & Surgeon's have come a long way.
After Anaesthesia & Asepsis - Minimally Invasive Surgery has often been called the 3rd revolution in Surgery.
Today surgery is much more precise, safer & patient friendly. Patients can get back to work quickly with minimal pain and scars.
