Various friendly matches were played such as football, basketball, badminton and kabaddi which brought excitement and laughter throughout the day for both GGS and Ashrey Society students.
As the matches progressed, the viewers cheered each other on, creating an atmosphere of warmth and encouragement, while making it evident that these games are not just about winning or losing; they are about enjoying the spirit of sportsmanship and making new friends. The day ended with students having a dance session and lunch together.

Annual Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition - Connaissance 2024 LIVE at GGS
Excited to share details of the First In-House Round Square Conference, recently organised by the GGS RS Student Committee for young Genesians of 13-15 Years age group centred around the theme of RS IDEALS.
75 student delegates participated and delved into an array of enriching activities fostering personal growth and resilience while exploring Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service.
The Conference offered a diverse range of experiences starting with the launch of the RS Discovery Heroes in the Primary Wing followed by various student-led Baraza sessions where delegates explored the RS IDEALS.
The conference was graced by our eminent guest Ms. Rajbir Sandhu, Schools Support Director South Asia and Gulf along with School Director and RS Head, Ms Sanamdeep Chadha accompanied by Vice-President of School Managing Committee Mr. Pramod Sharma.
Ms. Sandhu also had interactive sessions with the school's leadership team, students, and all stakeholders, commending the alignment of the school's vision with RS IDEALS.

It was a pleasure to see that our students noticed the well–maintained school grounds, and the clean and brightly decorated classrooms that were creating a positive learning environment, while also observing the dedication and passion of the teachers as they truly cared about the students' well-being and were committed to providing them with a quality education.

The GGS Artist Camp 2024 is honoured to welcome Ms. Niladri Paul and Mr. Jiten Hazarika, unique Indian artists with their unique styles which they will share with our students in the coming week.
GGS students Amyra Maini, Lavanya Mehta, Sureena Jain, and Asha Nozomi Terasaka Dwivedi recently attended a 5-day Round Square Conference organised by Vivek High School, Chandigarh on 'Self-Empowerment and Discover More'.
Attended by more than 100 delegates from India and Abroad, students explored the theme through various baraza sessions and esteemed keynote presentations by Lama Yeshi, writer Vikram Agnihotri and his wife psychotherapist Prachi Agarwal. The delegates also got acquainted with the culture of Himachal while enjoying forest bathing and adventure activities.
Sessions focused on Japanese philosophy Wabi Sabi and Kintsugi along with meditation techniques empowered the delegates to embrace their imperfections with grace and work on their holistic growth.
Square is an international network of more than 250 schools, based on the educational concepts of German educator Kurt Hahn.

Students acted as archaeologists and traced the coins of different countries. The challenge was to derive as much information as they could from the coins traced. They also drew some stone tools to figure out their usage in early human history.
The students were amazed to see that even the simple objects around them could reveal some form of history.

Topic: Identifying and Engaging Gifted and Talented Learners
To empower and encourage teachers to create a supportive and enriching learning experience classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes a growth mindset among all students, a session was conducted by the ILN team for PYP teachers to help identify and differentiate kids with gifted and talented abilities, understanding their characteristics and learning styles, and implementing differentiated instruction to meet their academic and social-emotional needs.
Examples of enrichment activities, resources, and tools that can be used to challenge and engage gifted learners effectively were shared to help create the best learning environment for all learners.

Activity: Collaborative Science Project CSP
The activity started with the Planning Phase and ended with the Exhibition phase and was aimed to create sustainable and effective solutions for waste management using technology, students collaborated to plan, act and demonstrate their problem-solving skills by reflecting on their understanding of group 4 subjects through an exhibition of the Collaborative Science Projects (CSP). Students used models and prototypes to exhibit varied solutions using innovative scientific technology for sustainable waste management for a variety of wastes.

Students learned about the German food culture and cuisine, which is a rich tapestry woven with hearty flavours, traditions, and regional specialties.
