The Meaning of ‘Mariposa’ is Butterfly. In Española/ Spanish the literal meaning of which is “Marie(Mary), alight!”

The butterfly is a symbol of body, soul and freedom.

Marie was a young lady from a small village in Andalusia, Spain. She used to work in a winery. When not busy working at the winery, she used to spend her time chasing after butterflies. She always believed that there was a parallel universe in which Butterflies, nature’s most beautiful creatures, weave all the magic and effected the lives of those inhabiting the planet. Humans today know it as “The Butterfly Effect’, small acts that make a huge difference to our lives.

As time passed by, her belief grew stronger and she went out on a pursuit no man or woman had dared to undertake – to the magical realm of butterflies. But many days past by and Marie grew tired, the path to the land of butterflies was nowhere to be found. However, just as she was about to give up, she wandered in a mysterious field and to her delight, she was picked by the magical butterflies and was transported to their magical world that existed parallel to ours.

Because of her belief in their magic and also because she could speak to them, Marie, was welcomed into her new world and was given a new name - ‘Mariposa’. She was not only taught magic, but Mariposa learnt all about their magical drinks. For all those years, Mariposa used Butterflies to spread happiness and joy in the world.

She had disappeared for humans in the early 19th century. Her disappearance has been one of the best uncovered mysteries of the 19th century, until now.

Mariposa is ready to make a return to our world in 2019 as she has finally figured the adobe just like her magic land. She has decided to make Sutra(Noida) her headquarters to strew the magic and brew her magical drinks, and she is getting her magical friends along with her.

“ Once upon a time, in the sawdust of summer, I saw them all

The Butterflies, in their unfettered flitting rover

Drifting through a giant portal, to a world anew

With hushed treads, I went behind

And Oh My Wonders! What did I find

With each flutter they cast a spell

And beams of bliss everywhere!

And there it was the Sutra to my blissful world,

The Metamorphosis of my life….”
