Autumn Bridge

Thanks to Mr. Paul Clark for his excellent video tutorial. Even though my palette, paper, brush is different from his and he is a pro while I am a novice, I am still satisfied with the outcome.

A little background about my journey into art 🖼

As the pandemic began to spread it’s wrath causing the nationwide lockdown in India; I being a doctor immediately came under tremendous pressure.
There was not a single day when I did not question the very essence of being as I continued to work as if there was no tomorrow.

Each day after returning home I often crippled with anxiety felt lost. The reason for my anxiety was caused by the fear of spreading the virus among my family and friends.
It began to feel like there was almost no way out, until one day I saw my 10 year old daughter playing with colours. The scene reminded me of a time when I too was interested to learn painting in my childhood, however, didn’t get the opportunity to follow through.

Next day, after almost 40 years I held the borrowed paint brush in my hands and began to make an effort to paint for the very first time. Of course I had no idea what I was doing but it sure made me feel better as through my paintings I see a different reality - one that’s not tainted by worries.

Today I am still a work in progress when it comes to painting and I am very glad to see the supportive community that we have here.

Hopefully we will all learn and grow together.

Here is a glimpse of what I see everyday when I am not painting 😄

Sometimes it’s just enthralling to be in the nature and appreciate everything that it has to offer.

Hope one day I will take you there!
