World Space Week is an international event celebrated in 122 countries across the globe conducted by the United Nations . The Mission of World Space Week Association (WSWA) is to strengthen the link between space and society through public education, participation, and dialogue on the future of space activity using World Space Week as a focus.

The theme of this year is Space and Entreprenurship. Pragati Academy is joining the mission by organizing Quizzes , Seminars , Science Internships and Interaction with the Scientists from 4th to 10th October 2023.

Gratitude fills our hearts as we proudly receive the Certificate of Appreciation for our active participation in the Swachh Bharat mission. ♦️ Empowering Minds, Changing Lives: Celebrating World Literacy Day

Theme of World Literacy Day 2023 is 'Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies'. It was on 26 October 1966 when UNESCO declared 8 September as International Literacy Day to remove worldwide issues of illiteracy. The main purpose was not only to combat illiteracy but also to use it as a tool to empower individuals as well as the whole community.

🛑 Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Victory Day) is commemorated every 26 July in India, to observe India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War for ousting Pakistani Forces from their occupied positions on the mountain tops of Northern Kargil District in Ladakh in 1999.
This day is celebrated all over India and in the national capital, New Delhi, where the Prime Minister of India pays homage to the soldiers at Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate every year.[3] Functions are also organized all over the country to commemorate the contributions of the Indian Armed Forces.

As our daily lives have been greatly improved through their visionary work, it is important that we acknowledge their lives. The Serbian-American inventor and engineer Tesla, created the polyphase alternating current (AC) production and long-distance transmission system in 1888 and subsequently changed the world.
Observing Nikola Tesla Day on July 10, will serve as an inspiration to future generations.

Yoga Day 2022: Glimpses Of 8th International Yoga Day Celebrations From Pragati Acdemy.

Since 2015, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated worldwide on 21st June every year. The theme for this year's Yoga Day is 'Yoga for Humanity'. Yoga Day is celebrated at Pragati Academy to make the children understand the importance of Yoga in their life and how to maintain harmony between body and mind.

🛑The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India. The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his UN address in 2014, had suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world.
The essence of yoga is balance - not just balance within the body or that between the mind and the body, but also balance in the human relationship with the world. Yoga emphasise the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline and perseverance. When applied to communities and societies, Yoga offers a path for sustainable living. The theme for International Day of Yoga 2022 is 'Yoga for humanity,' keeping in mind the significant mental, physical and emotional strife caused by the pandemic. Join hands with yoga to strengthen and synchronize your body, mind, and soul for a healthy and happy life, wishing you all a Happy International Yoga Day!

🛑 World Day Against Child Labour 2022

World Day Against Child Labour Day is also known as Anti Child Labour Day. It is observed on 12 June annually and highlights the impact of crisis on child labour. This year the global platform is urged to be united against child labour and human trafficking even more considering the alarming rate of its rise. It was reported by UNICEF and International Labour Organization (ILO) this year that the number of children in child labour has risen to 160 million across the world. This is an increase of 8.4 million children in the last four years. World Day Against Child Labour was introduced in 2002 by the International Labour Organisation. The day provides an opportunity and urges the need to generate an environment for children to grow and live a dignified life and also to fight against child labour throughout the world.
2022 Theme: "Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour"
The 2022 theme of the world day calls for increased investment in social protection systems and schemes to establish solid social protection floors and protect children from child labour. Each year on 12 June, this Day brings together governments, employers and workers organizations, civil society, also as many people from around the world to spotlight the plight of kid labourers and what are often done to assist them.

World Environment Day 2022 is the biggest international day for the environment. Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and held annually since 1973, it has grown to be the largest global platform for environmental outreach. It is celebrated by millions of people across the world.

World Environment Day 2022 is hosted by Sweden. “Only One Earth" is the campaign slogan, with the focus on “Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature”.

The theme for World No To***co Day 2022 is "Protect the Environment." It was in 1987 that the WHO member countries decided to observe World No To***co Day on 31 May every year.
Since then, this day is observed every year with a relevant theme. As per WHO, “The harmful impact of the to***co industry on the environment is vast and growing, adding unnecessary pressure to our planet's already scarce resources and fragile ecosystems. Stand together to fight against to***co to become a to***co-free generation.
