Gauge block comparators has probing system with 1 nanometer resolution with comparison span of 20mm. Due to this feature direct measurement of gauge blocks with variation in nominal length up to 20mm are possible. This new comparison method of measurements of Gauge blocks is developed and validated by PTB Germany and is now widely adopted throughout the world-wide calibration laboratories of National metrology Institutes (NMIs). This comparison method allows the number of reference gauge blocks to be reduced by nearly 80%. This feature of long comparison span provides advantage to use same reference gauge blocks for measurements of Imperial (inch) and Metric sizes.

Octagon Signed MOU With AKGEC Skill Foundation, Delhi NCR.

On March 20th, 2023, during Visit of Mr. Som Ashutosh – GM AKGEC Skill Foundation to our Facility at Pune, Octagon Precision India Pvt. Ltd. signed MOU with AKGEC Skill Foundation, Delhi NCR

AKGEC Skills Foundation’ an initiative promoted by IIMES in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to strengthen the ‘Skill India Mission’ launched by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

ASF is having Centres of Excellence (COEs) in the field of Industrial Automation, Robotics, Advance Manufacturing & Fabrication, established in collaboration with eminent multinational industries like SIEMENS, KUKA, BOSCH Rexorth, Mitsubishi Electric, National Instruments, Carl Zeiss, Messer, Fronius, SCHMALZ, Pepperel+Fuchs etc.

As per this MOU, Octagon Precision will provide, knowhow technology support to AKGEC Institute in Ghaziabad, UP and under which will install High Precision Universal Length Measuring Machine(ULM) at AKGEC’s NABL Accredited Calibration Laboratory. In addition to this Octagon will establish Statistical Process Control Lab (SPC Lab) at the institute and will organise industrial training on SPC.

This will increase the awareness as well benefit the Indian industry to build high level skills and knowledge for zero defect production.
