Getting back to this yummy and buttery payasam which we get at temples of Kerala.A must have for many Poojas.When I introduced this at , it was loved by all.After all one will fall in love with this concoction made of rice,jaggery,ghee fried coconut bites and loaded with ghee.Takes me back to the temples of South India❤️

A Syrian Christian family at Kerala,a woman wearing a typical off white saree and the house smells of a freshly made fish curry by this lady and its lunch time.The images flash by mind as I remember school days and my friends home.Growing up and having lot of friends from this community and studying in a similar school,my love towards these food and recipes grew since childhood.Those days when we look forward to the food more on a playdate at friends house.

I fell in love with Laksa from my last visit to Singapore. The broth with the coconut curry is fragrant,complex and has just the right amount of richness.Perfect for a seafood lover as seafood stock is the base.The sambal,tofu,prawns,noodle,boiled egg - just makes it the perfect bowl.I had them for breakfast,lunch and dinner in my recent visit.
Winter is here and the cravings hit hard for this hot bowl of richness and there we have a bowl of Singaporean Laksa❤️❤️
