Old restoration broke after 5 years..
We had avoided root canal back then and opted for restoration.
Now the restoration cracked while biting hard food,
Patient had no pain or sensitivity..
So repeated a restoration and the tooth is back in function..
Hoping to postpone the root canal treatment for few more years

Old fractured restoration replaced after cleaning the underlying decay by new restoration resembling original tooth with respect to shape, size & color.

There was loss of space in between two teeth due to fractured old restorations.
And small gap was present, which caused food lodgement and irritation.
We restored and filled the small gap by restoring both the teeth ,while conserving the tooth structure.

Sometimes small things get ignored in the wake of bigger issues.

In this case, lower 1st molar have a huge cavity and needed root canal treatment.

When the tooth was shaped to receive a crown, a small brown spot was noted on the tooth behind.

If this brown spot is ignored, it will hidden under the adjacent cap and within few months, lead to pain and bigger cavity, thereby leading to new root canal treatment.

Composite class 1 restoration

The first week of new year ends on a happy note. Did couple of restorations for 9 year old boy on his first permanent molars.
It was his first dental experience and he managed to be very cooperative once the fear of “unknown” was tackled.
The first experience at the dentist is what marks the path for lifetime dental care acceptability by patients.

A completely destroyed first molar in 8 year old kiddo.
The actual test for me was to talk non stop during the treatment so he remains entertained and I do my work.
The kiddo was super cooperative with a long list of questions.

A brave 7 year old underwent composite restorations in all@his first permanent molars.
Sadly, his enamel (outer layer of teeth) was brittle and hence gave way for big cavities and decay.
It’s very important to recreate the natural shape of the teeth to ensure proper growth of his jaws..

An elderly woman complained of sensitivity in front tooth after it got chipped off and a piece broke off.

This cute angel is coming to me for her dental treatment since she was 3 years old & now she is pretty 7 year old girl.

We observed developmental depressions on the front surface of upper permanent incisors.

Food was getting stuck in the area, which could have later caused decay in these teeth.
