• The room where it all happens •

This living room was designed to be minimal but with designer touches in several places.

The TV wall was encroached upon by the main door which is why it's hidden to give the wall a larger look and the olive green adds peaceful vibes.

The multicolored fluted glass partition doubles as a crockery cabinet that can be accessed from the kitchen behind the living room.

While adding the crockery cabinet we also found space to add a small niche in the wall which can be used to display artefacts, paintings or souvenirs. (Image reference - 2/3)

Lastly, we added some wood by covering the beam to create a division between the living room and dining area/kitchen. The wood is reflected in the Television unit below and also in the ceiling to provide a sense of drama with cylinder lights in for the times when you're not watching the Television. • Lighting and Moods •

The lighting in this bedroom was designed to cater to any and all moods a young techie could need.

The profile lighting in the ceiling provides ample light for a gathering of friends or a game night. Indirect light behind the bed serves as an ideal reading light. Even the skirting under cupboards is used as a source for night light.

• A break is necessary •

The brief for this room was to keep it sophisticated but with a touch of whimsy. We used dark wood and grey to give that luxe feel.

All handles are recessed in doors and fluted bidding on handles acts as a band of wood across the grey shutters.

At the end of the row of shutters, we decided to break the design to make room for an open dressing nook with a full mirror on the adjacent wall.

• Where design meets function •

We had a very challenging task with this room of fusing a dressing with a study table, as the client was a young teacher who needed a space to grade papers and check assignments regularly and also wanted a nook for dressing mirror.

The room orientation was such that we were left in a unique position where study and dressing ended up next to each other. There were many brainstorming sessions but in the end we came up with this idea.

The box on table acts as a sort of divider between mirror and the desk while doubling as a storage, which is essential to any dressing area.
