The Chief Guest, Dr. Charanpreet, Administrator of Shah Satnam Ji College of Education, praised the participants for their exceptional talents and graced the stage with a lively Punjabi dance performance, adding charm to the event. Talent Show - Day 2: A Showcase of Diverse Skills and Creativity
Following the success of Day 1, Day 2 of the Talent Show at Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, brought forth an array of exciting competitions and performances, highlighting the students' diverse talents.
The day began with a Quiz Competition, organized by Ms. Pooja Taneja, Ms. Madhu, Ms. Avnee, Ms. Renu, and Ms. Anju. Four teams, each comprising three students, participated with enthusiasm, tackling questions on Current Affairs and General Knowledge. Their zeal and quick thinking were evident throughout the event.
A Speech and Poetical Symposium followed, coordinated by Dr. Monika, Ms. Poonam, Ms. Muskan, Ms. Suman Rani, and Dr. Nirja. Fourteen students delivered compelling speeches and poetic recitations on themes such as "Peace and Justice," "The Changing Dynamics of Parent-Child Relationships," and "Artificial Intelligence: Comparing Human and Machine Learning Capacities." The students impressed the audience with their well-articulated thoughts and in-depth analysis of these thought-provoking topics.
The event also included a Monoact and Mimicry Competition, organized by Ms. Renu Dara and Ms. Leenu. Students presented both serious and comedic acts, creatively expressing a wide range of emotions and narratives. Their performances were met with applause for their originality and delivery.
A Musical Instrument Performance rounded out the day's events, led by Ms. Vaishali. Students showcased their musical abilities, adding a melodic touch to the proceedings.

Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, commenced its Talent Hunt Show with multiple engaging activities.
The day started with a PowerPoint Presentation competition, where eight participants showcased their skills on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mind or Machine, Culture, History of Haryana, and Brain as Unlocking the Secrets of the Mind. The event was coordinated by Ms. Priyanka and Ms. Rupa of the Computer Science department.
Simultaneously, the Home Science Department, under the supervision of Dr. Sunita Sihag, organized a Rangoli competition with 11 participants and a Painting competition with 17 participants, both held in the Home Science lab. It made the whole atmosphere colourful.
Additionally, a Photography and Videography competition was held, where 12 students participated in Photography and 8 in Videography. The participants showcased their talents by capturing impressive pictures and creating at least 10-second videos. This event was managed by Ms. Anupama and Ms. Shivali Aggarwal.
IQAC Director Dr Rishu Tomar also interacted with the participants, motivating them to explore their potential in all arts like PPT, Rangoli Photography etc.
These events collectively marked a successful start to the Talent Hunt Show, highlighting the diverse skills of the students.
On the occasion of World Animal Day, the Geography Department of Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, organized an educational visit to a Gaushala (Cattle Farm). During this visit, students gained valuable insights into various aspects of cattle, observing numerous cows and their young ones. They learned about the importance of animal care, including the daily routines and practices involved in tending to these animals, as well as the significant role cattle play in our lives.
The visit served as an educational experience, highlighting the importance of compassion and kindness towards animals. It was both an enjoyable and informative day, emphasizing the value of responsible animal care and respect for all living beings. Madam Rubi and Hardeep from the Geography Department accompanied the students.
This day serves as a reminder of the importance of conserving our natural resources and protecting the environment for future generations. It’s a call to action, urging individuals, communities, and governments to take proactive steps towards sustainable practices that ensure the well-being of our planet. Shah Satnam Ji Girls college, Eco Club celebrate World Nature's Day on 1st of October to raise awareness about the challenges our environment faces, particularly due to climate change and the importance of preserving and protecting our environment.
Report on Swachh Bharat Diwas
The Swachh Bharat Diwas, Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, organized a series of activities from September 30th, 2024 to October 1, 2024(Two-Day Event). Under the guidance of Ms. Priynka, care taker of 1 Har Air Sqn NCC, the college community actively participated in various initiatives aimed at promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and sustainability.
Activities Conducted Are:-
1. Swachhta Pledge
On September 30th, the college commenced the campaign with a Swachhta Pledge ceremony. Students and faculty members gathered to take a collective pledge to uphold cleanliness in their surroundings and promote sanitation in their daily lives. This event set a positive tone for the subsequent activities and encouraged everyone to commit to the mission of a cleaner India.
2. Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam
In alignment with environmental sustainability, a tree plantation drive titled "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" was conducted at a nearby community location. Students planted saplings, emphasizing the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance. This initiative not only beautified the area but also raised awareness about the role of trees in combating pollution and promoting biodiversity.
3. Poster Making Competition
A creative poster-making competition was organized at the college, where students designed posters highlighting various aspects of the Swachh Bharat mission. The posters showcased messages about cleanliness, waste management, and environmental conservation. The best posters were displayed around the campus, serving as informative reminders for students and staff alike.
4. Swachh Bharat on Safai Abiyan
A major cleanliness drive, "Safai Abiyan," was held on campus, where students actively participated in cleaning the college premises. They collected waste, organized disposal, and ensured that the environment remained litter-free. This hands-on activity instilled a sense of responsibility among students towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
5. Waste Plastic Material Reuse
To promote sustainable practices, students engaged in a creative reuse workshop using waste plastic materials. They crafted various products, such as planters, decorative items, and bird feeders, demonstrating innovative ways to repurpose plastic waste. एनएस एस इकाई द्वारा "स्वभाव स्वच्छता, संस्कार स्वच्छता" पर रैली आयोजित कर स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता अभियान चलाया
सिरसा (1अक्टूबर 2024)शाह सतनाम जी गर्ल्स कॉलेज की एनएस एस इकाई द्वारा "स्वभाव स्वच्छता, संस्कार स्वच्छता" पर रैली आयोजित करवाई गई। रैली आयोजित करने का उद्देश्य समाज में स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाना और लोगों को स्वच्छता के महत्व के बारे में शिक्षित करना था ।
एनएसएस कार्यक्रम अधिकारी पूनम धमीजा ने जानकारी दी कि छात्राओं द्वारा कॉलेज परिसर से एमएसजी कॉम्प्लेक्स, शाह सतनाम जी पुरा तक निकली गई यह रैली स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के तहत स्वच्छता ही सेवा अभियान का हिस्सा है, जिसका उद्देश्य समाज में स्वच्छता की आदतों को विकसित करना है । छात्राओं ने रैली के तहत हाथ में पोस्टर ले कर सामुदायिक भागीदारी को बढ़ावा देते हुए स्वच्छता का संदेश दिया। रैली के पश्चात छात्राओं ने कॉलेज परिसर, खेल के मैदान और कैंटीन में भी सफाई अभियान चलाया। इस अवसर पर मैडम रूबी, मैडम गुरदीप, मैडम सुमन रियाज और हरदीप ने बढ़ चढ़कर सहयोग दिया।

"Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, successfully hosted a Parent-Teacher Meeting on 28th September 2024, aimed at fostering open communication between the College and Parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development. The meeting provided a platform for parents to voice their concerns and expectations, which were addressed by various committees, including the Reception Committee, Grievance Redressal Cell, and Faculty Representatives from both UG and PG streams.
Principal Dr. Geeta Monga and IQAC Director Dr. Rishu Tomar actively engaged with the parents, offering insights into the College’s ongoing efforts to uplift the Academic Experience. They assured the parents that innovative teaching strategies and advanced techniques would be integrated as usual into the curriculum to meet the evolving needs of students.
Blood Donation Drive was organized by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Red Ribbon Club of Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, on 28th September 2024, at the Bapu Maghar Singh Blood Bank, Sirsa. Demonstrating an inspiring commitment to community welfare, approximately 37 students enthusiastically participated in this noble initiative.
Under the supervision of dedicated faculty members Madam Geeta and Madam Jasbir, the students went to the Blood Bank to make their valuable contributions. Their selfless act of donating blood is a reflection of the college's ongoing efforts to instil a sense of social responsibility and compassion in its students.
Principal Dr. Geeta Monga lauded the students for their participation in this life-saving cause. Dr Monika, in charge of the Club and Society, emphasised the importance of such initiatives in fostering a spirit of generosity and community service. This drive not only provided vital support to the blood bank but also highlighted the significance of regular blood donations in saving lives and promoting public health.
It is a matter of great pride that Manjot, a B.Sc final-year student of our college, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 8th rank out of 59 participants in the District-Level Essay Writing Competition, organized by Government National College, Sirsa, on 25th September 2024. Her outstanding performance has earned her a spot in the upcoming State-Level Essay Writing Competition. Principal Dr. Geeta Monga congratulated her on this remarkable achievement and wished her continued success.
Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, successfully organized a one-day Inter College Seminar and Career Counseling program on the topic "Geoinformatics Technologies (GIS and Remote Sensing)" on 25th September 2024, commemorating Environmental Health Day. The event was held under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Geeta Monga and IQAC Director & Head of the Geography Department, Dr. Rishu Tomar, with the Geography Department and Ms Ruby serving as the organizing body.
The keynote speaker, Ms. Devashiri Talukdar, a Technical Expert from Skyline Institute of Geoinformatics, Rohtak, Haryana, delivered a highly engaging and insightful session. Ms. Talukdar introduced participants to the practical applications and emerging trends in geospatial technologies such as GIS and remote sensing, emphasizing their relevance in addressing environmental and societal challenges. Her presentation not only illuminated the current advancements in geoinformatics but also inspired attendees to explore its vast potential for research and career opportunities. This Seminar also served as a valuable career counseling platform. She described how students could make their careers in Environment Monitoring, Urban Planning, Industrial Development, Disaster Management, etc.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students of prestigious institutions, including CMK PG College and CDLU Sirsa, who contributed to the vibrant academic discourse.
In recognition of their participation, the honourable Principal, Dr Geeta Monga, awarded certificates to the faculty members. The event provided a platform for interdisciplinary learning and exchange, encouraging deeper exploration into the role of geospatial technologies in shaping sustainable environmental practices and making a good career. NSS Foundation Day Celebration
NSS unit of Shah Satnam ji Girls' College, Sirsa organized a One-Day Blood Donation🩸Camp on 24th September, 2024, to commemorate NSS Foundation Day . This noble initiative aimed to collect blood to support Poojniya Bapu Maghar Singh ji International Blood Bank. Approximately 50 students came forward to donate blood after under going physical examination by a team of experts. Along with it, on the eve of NSS Foundation Day, an Orientation Program was also conducted for the fresh batch of NSS Volunteers. Principal, Dr Geeta Monga applauded the students' selfless act, stating, "Your contribution will save precious lives." Ms. Poonam Dhamija (Incharge NSS Unit) guided the students throughout the initiative. Faculty members Ms. Ruby, Ms. Gurdeep, Ms. Dheeraj, and Ms. Geeta provided invaluable assistance to the donors.

Spiritual quiz and naamcharcha on the occasion of Guru gaddi Divas at Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa
In celebration of the auspicious Guru Gaddi Diwas of Revered Guru Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, commemorated Mahaparopkar Diwas with a distinctive event on 21st September 2024—a Spiritual Quiz Competition. Students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating their profound spiritual knowledge, particularly on the teachings of Dera Sacha Sauda.
The competition featured four teams—Peaceful Soul, Divine Soul, Blessed Soul, and Spiritual Soul—each comprising four participants. They competed across various rounds, including a Common Round, Musical Round, Picture Round, and a high-energy Rapid Fire Round. The Peaceful Soul team, consisting of B.Com final-year students Himanshi, Riya, Shefali, and Komal, emerged as the winners, securing the first position.
The event commenced with an introduction and overview of the competition, facilitated by Simran and Pooja. The atmosphere was imbued with devotion as students sang hymns, setting a reverent tone for the occasion. Dr. Rishu Tomar, IQAC Director and event supervisor, addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of spiritual wisdom alongside academic and athletic pursuits. She reiterated that the guidance of Revered Guru Ji serves as a beacon for all, encouraging the younger generation to follow the path illuminated by His teachings.
In her concluding address, Principal Dr. Geeta Monga extended her heartfelt congratulations to all on the occasion of Guru Gaddi Diwas. First Aid Workshop Organized at Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College
The Red Cross Unit of Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, successfully organized a one-day workshop on First Aid on 14th September 2024. The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving techniques. Dr. Aakriti and Sister Lakshmi from Civil Hospital, Sirsa, were appointed as resource persons for the session. They shared valuable insights on how to provide immediate assistance in critical situations such as road accidents, heart strokes, and heart failure.
The informative workshop helped students and staff gain practical knowledge on delivering prompt medical help during emergencies. Various techniques were demonstrated through live examples, enhancing the learning experience. The Convenor of the Youth Red Cross (YRC), Dr Monika, welcomed the mentors, while Club members Madam Tajinder and Madam Geeta made significant contributions to the program's success. Principal Dr. Geeta Monga expressed gratitude to the keynote speakers for their valuable impartation of knowledge.

भारतीय संस्कृति और भाषा के समृद्ध इतिहास को मनाने के लिए आज 14 सितंबर को महाविद्यालय प्रांगण में बड़े हर्ष और उत्साह के साथ 'हिन्दी दिवस' का आयोजन किया गया। प्राचार्य डॉ गीता मोंगा के निर्देशन में हिंदी विभाग की ओर से हिंदी दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें छात्राओं ने कविता पाठ,भाषण,दोहा के माध्यम से अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किए । हिंदी दिवस पर स्लोगन लेखन और चार्ट बनाओ में 20 छात्राओं ने विभिन्न स्लोगन लिखकर अपनी लेखन प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया।कविता प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान पर बी ए 2 की छात्रा रितिका , दूसरा स्थान कुमारी गुरप्रीत को , भाषण प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान बीए द्वितीय वर्ष की छात्रा दीपिका और द्वितीय स्थान अर्शदीप को मिला। स्लोगन लेखन और चार्ट बनाओ प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान एम कॉम की छात्रा संदूजा और दूसरा स्थान बीए फाइनल की आरती , निशा ने पाया। कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित प्राचार्य महोदय ने छात्राओं को हिंदी दिवस की बधाई देते हुए हिंदी दिवस की महता पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि इस दिन का मुख्य उद्देश्य हिन्दी भाषा के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना और इसे बढ़ावा देना है. इस अवसर पर प्राचार्या महोदया ने एक मधुर गीत सुनाया। हिंदी दिवस समारोह में छात्राओं के साथ-साथ समस्त विभागीय सदस्यों पूनम धमीजा, शालू और सुमन ने भी कविता, भाषण और रोचक तथ्यों के माध्यम से अपनी प्रस्तुति दी। मंच संचालन
बीए फाइनल की छात्रा कुमारी खुशप्रीत ने किया । कार्यक्रम के अंत में हिंदी विभाग की अध्यक्ष श्रीमती पूनम धमीजा ने सभी प्रतिभागियों और उपस्थित स्टाफ सदस्यों को कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित होने पर धन्यवाद दिया।
Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, observed Ozone Day with an extension lecture on "Ozone Day Insights" in the seminar hall on 13/09/2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of ozone layer conservation and its impact on the environment.
Professor Rachna ( Department of Physics) from CDLU, Sirsa was the Speaker for the occasion. She emphasized the need for collective action to protect the ozone layer, highlighting the consequences of ozone depletion on human health and the ecosystem. She encouraged the audience to adopt sustainable practices and reduce their carbon footprint.
Principal Dr. Geeta Monga welcomed the guests and stressed the significance of ozone layer conservation.
Conveners Dr. Rekha Mehta and Payal Rani organized the event with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members.

Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, celebrated the library orientation program on 12th September 2024. The event highlighted the importance of the library and gave guidance about the N.list and OPAC. The Department of Library Science successfully organized the event, with Principal Dr. Geeta Monga and IQAC Director Dr. Rishu Tomar congratulating the team for their efforts.
Celebration of National Nutrition Week in Shah Satnam Ji Girls' College, Sirsa, from 1st September 2024 to 7th September 2024 by the Home Science Department to raise awareness among the students about nutrition and healthy eating habits.
