*(OVERNIGHT CAMP 🏕)*

ALCHEMY School organized an action-packed overnight camp for Class 1 to 8 at school, to develop the students’ collaborative and interactive skills. The students spent a night on campus, interspersed with some challenging and fun activities.

The overnight stay kick-started with the children arriving on Thursday evening, looking enthusiastic and beaming with anticipation. That session began with the formation of groups and a brief introduction to the essential agreements to be followed. They were already alloted their rooms and with concerned teachers as their group Incharges..they all settled then were served popcorn & enjoyed puppet show in the cool evening environ.
Later they engaged themselves in lot many games like angry birds, shooting the balloon, blowing the candle etc.
A fun filled atmosphere is incomplete without a fulfilling and relishing meal. So the kids were served with mouth watering dinner which was followed by DJ and movie night.
As the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end!”, so did our Nightout stay. The children thanked all the departments of the school that contributed to the success of the event and finally bid farewell to their teachers and made their way home the next morning with lots of memories and with hopes of coming back together at the earliest.

🍱👩🏻‍🍳 (ALCHEMY MASTERCHEF MOMS - FLAMELESS COOKING COMPETITION)🧑🏻‍🍳🥗

ALCHEMY SCHOOL had organized, a Fireless Cooking Competition for MOMS on 29th FEBRUARY 2024; to provide a platform for the MOMS & THEIR BUDDY to foster their creativity and cooking skills and also help them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest. The participants enjoyed the day by enthusiastically taking part in this fun package. The event gave a platform to the MOMS to demonstrate their culinary knowledge and skills related to: developing and following a recipe, preparation of a dish, and displaying the dish before a judging panel where it will be evaluated on flavor, taste and palatability. Overall 11 teams participated in the competition, right from MOMS OF NURSERY TO CLASS 5. In all 22 MOMS participated wholeheartedly in the event. Their efforts were evaluated on the basis of five parameters: a) Taste b)Presentation c) Innovation d)Nutritional value and e)Overall techniques.
ALCHEMY SCHOOL CHAIRMAN - MR.SATISH PILLAI appreciated the efforts and participation of moms who had put up a fabulous show.
ALCHEMY SCHOOL Principal, Ms.I.R.BHATIA said, the purpose of this event was to also promote eating healthy habits among children. In our busy schedule, we often eat outside food and fast food more often, which is unhealthy and unhygienic too resulting in severe health problems like obesity etc. Thus, she recommended to prefer home cooked healthy & hygienic food.
All Participants were awarded Certificates & Winners with Prizes too.
It was a memorable day with the efforts and support from entire school staff and each one awaits such wonderful event in future.

Many toys are developed for imaginary play, but not many let children dream up and create something entirely new. *Clay* stimulates curiosity, motivates them to problem-solve as they work on their project, and ultimately leads them to craft unique three-dimensional art.
Modelling clay is flexible and strong, making it ideal for fine motor practice.
Fine motor ability is essential for the development of handwriting skills, and is supported with activities that help strengthen and coordinate kids hands and fingers. Modelling clay is one material that is effective in supporting fine motor development.
Our little ones of JR.KG CLASS projected their artistic and imaginative skills through this activity and created beautiful masterpiece.

*Leaf printing*-The process of making leaf design on another surface. This is done by putting ink or dye on leaf and placing on another surface(paper).
By working with natural objects, children are exploring their different textures, shapes, and colors, all while building fine-motor skills. At the same time, painting with different items—say, a twig and a leaf—gives kids an intro to the scientific concept of cause and effect.

📝 *EXAMINATIONS* 🤔

Exams are a form of learning activity. They can enable students to see the material from a different perspective. They also provide feedback that students can then use to improve their understanding. To identify challenges and correct them.
Exams serve as windows to assess the depth of students' knowledge and their comprehension of essential concepts across various subjects.
Students should have a positive mindset which helps in managing stress and anxiety, allowing them to approach exams with a calm demeanor. Reduced stress levels enhance cognitive function and memory recall, leading to better performance.
Our ALCHEMIANS from CLASS 1-12 are all set and giving their final exams with hopes and excitement to end an academic year & take a step forward to enter a new academic year which starts from APRIL 1, 2024.

*(SCIENCE ACTIVITY- HOW SOUND TRAVELS[CLASS 8])*

Sound is the energy things produce when they vibrate (move back and forth quickly).
The first person to discover that sound needs a medium was a brilliant English scientist known as Robert Boyle (1627–1691).
Sound waves are created when sounds make vibrations in the air.
Our ALCHEMIANS OF CLASS 8 did an activity in the classroom to understand the concept of HOW SOUND TRAVELS? Voice vibrates the air inside the cup, which are then transferred to the bottom of the cup. The bottom of the cup passes the sound waves to the string, and so on to the other cup.
Sound travels at different speeds in solids, liquids, and gases. It's generally faster in solids than in liquids and faster in liquids than in gases.
The two key measurements when it comes to sound are decibels (dB) and hertz (Hz).Humans can only hear sound waves between 20 and 20,000 Hz.However, repeated exposures to loud noise can lead to permanent tinnitus and/or hearing loss.

Motor skills refer to skills associated with muscle activity. These basic actions are what form the foundation for all human movement. For example, crawling, walking, running, and jumping are all considered basic motor skills.
Gross motor skills assist in refining our balance, strength, muscle endurance and coordination.
Goal-oriented play activity encourages children to exercise and triggers the movement of body muscles. Active muscles are stronger, more agile, faster, and more powerful.
The TINY TOTS FROM PRE PRIMARY SECTION OF ALCHEMY SCHOOL enhanced their gross motor skills through various aspects of PE which enabled them to develop their agility and mobility.
Such activities are perfect examples of the focus on holistic development of the students.

Children learn important self-defense skills in Taekwondo because it helps teach them how to grapple their way into a dominant position or escape an uncomfortable position, all in a safe environment.TKD gives kids the self defense lessons they need to feel confident in themselves during a compromising situation without having to punch or kick another child.
Taekwondo strengthens our muscles.Taekwondo also has the advantage of being a bone building exercise. This is a martial art that involves a lot of kicking, jumping, pushing with your arms and legs, punching, and landing on your body as you spar with your opponents. All of these actions do technically count as weight bearing exercise. Weight bearing exercises by nature are crucial for helping you build stronger and better bones.
Taekwondo helps to burn our calories and keep us fit.
The STUDENT OF PRIMARY GRADES IN ALCHEMY SCHOOL are given regular Taekwondo sessions to make them understand the importance of this martial arts.

*Children are like🌸 flowers🌸beautiful, delicate & unique. We nourish them so that they blossom and show their brilliance of colours.*
Flower dabbing activity was conducted on February 08, 2024 for JR.KG students to develop their aesthetic skills. They gathered hands on knowledge by making use of flowers to complete their activity.
*Dip and paint - it couldn't be easier.* The flower stalks were like little fairy wands, dabbing paint onto the paper.
Our toddlers enjoyed this delightful learning and had a wonderful experience in showcasing their skills.

*Zumba* is an exercise fitness program that involves dance along with aerobic movements. The dance forms included are hip hop, salsa, samba, merengue, mambo, and soca.Zumba is always performed on energetic music usually Latin.
*Yoga* is a thousand years old practice which means union of body and mind. Essentially, Yoga helps in attaining a predetermined goal with discipline in place.
Yoga involves breathing, stretching, visualization, relaxation, and meditation.

Our *ALCHEMIANS OF GRADES 1 TO 5*, were guided and instructed by Ms.Sapna & Mr.Vivek to practice these fitness and muscle strengthening exercises to enable them to understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

The most difficult aspects of life is to say goodbye to someone. Specially when it's a day to bid goodbye to the institution which catered to your educational needs since childhood.
Today was one such emotional roller-coaster day for our *CLASS XII(BATCH 2023-24)* which includes cherished moments, happiness, sadness and the unhappiness of leaving friends and the beautiful school campus.
To wish these outgoing students a bright and shining future, the juniors of Class XI alongwith school's support arranged a wonderful farewell ceremony and it was one of it's kind where the kids were reminded...*to embrace their inner strength, seek knowledge tirelessly, and serve humanity with compassion and unwavering determination*.

India will celebrate 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024. The day marks the pivotal moment when the nation formally adopted its Constitution in 1950.
A day prior to this auspicious occasion, our students at ALCHEMY SCHOOL performed in today's morning assembly bringing in the joy and pride of being an Indian.
