Recently, our Grade 5 students had an amazing opportunity to interact and experience a glimpse of what the MYP (Middle Years Programme) will look like!
During the interactive session, students delved into various aspects of the MYP curriculum, exploring subjects, projects, and activities that await them. This hands-on experience provided them with valuable insights into the MYP approach and how it differs from their previous learning in the PYP (Primary Years Programme).
One of the key goals of this interaction was to address any anxieties or uncertainties students might have had about transitioning to the MYP. By experiencing a taste of MYP-style learning, students gained confidence and a better understanding of what to expect in the coming academic year. They also had the chance to ask questions and engage with MYP educators, further easing their transition process.
Along with this, we also had an insightful and engaging MYP Orientation session for our Grade 5 parents!
During the session, parents gained a deeper understanding of the MYP curriculum's structure and the numerous benefits it offers for their child's academic and personal growth journey.
One of the key highlights was the interactive Q&A session, where parents had their queries addressed by our experienced MYP educators. This direct interaction helped clarify doubts, provide insights into the MYP approach and equip parents with valuable information to support their child's transition effectively.

"🌾👩🌾 Exploring the Origins of Flavors and the Journey from Field to Table! 🍞🍰
Our young learners of Grades 1-2 recently embarked on an exciting educational journey, delving into the initial stages of every product we encounter. Starting with an enriching visit to a local farm, they discovered various crops and learnt about the initial process of harvesting before these goods reach the market.
What better way to learn about agriculture than by enjoying our sandwiches amidst the serene fields!
Continuing our exploration, we ventured to Prakash Bakery, where our students witnessed the transformation of raw ingredients into delicious baked goods. From observing flour being processed and mixed with other ingredients to witnessing the magical process of dough formation and baking, our learners gained valuable insights into the journey from ingredients to final products. They even had the opportunity to experience the baking process for cakes and other delightful treats!
Through these hands-on experiences, our students not only deepened their understanding of food production but also cultivated an appreciation for the hard work and dedication that goes into bringing flavours to life.
“The only source of knowledge is experience.” - Albert Einstein
Our Grade 1-2 students went on yet another fruitful learning trip to Vijay Dairy Products to deepen their understanding of the sub-systems under the big umbrella - Market. This trip provided them an opportunity to witness the journey of dairy products firsthand.
They witnessed how raw milk is transformed into delicious dairy products we all enjoy, including intermediate steps and packaging for storage and distribution. They used their Thinking Skills to make connections with other trips and shared that these products also go through processes to reach us.
They discovered how packaging and pricing play a big role in attracting customers and companies consider factors like production costs and competitor pricing to set the final price. They noticed how colourful designs and clear information on labels make products stand out. It was a great reminder that even small details matter in the world of marketing!
Our students also got a glimpse into the transportation process, learning how these products are sorted by companies and packaged nicely to get them delivered fresh to our homes.

Happy world theatre day
On the occasion of World Theatre Day, we celebrated in a unique manner with a creative session led by our teachers, Mr. Neeraj and Ms. Aurosri. The session began with students sharing their insights about the significance of this day, followed by a captivating MIME performance by Mr. Neeraj. We delved into discussions about theatre and World Theatre Day, exploring its origins and societal importance. Our teachers shared valuable information about acting and the actor's main tools - body, voice, and mind. We then engaged in practical exercises, including physical activity, where we enacted the recreation of morning routine activities, as well as vocal and mental exercises, to experience firsthand the essence of theatre. Finally, we concluded with a lively lyrical improvisation activity, beautifully performed and led by Ms. Aurosri, which was followed by and enjoyed by the entire school. They extended our thinking by listening to Mr Ratnaker, the Assistant Manager of Reliance Market, about how products reach the market through various transportation as per their types like local, national and international products. They also shared how the government is connected with them. As the students explored the supermarket, they observed how products were organized based on types and accessibility, providing them with practical insights into retail operations and instilling a sense of order and efficiency in their learning journey. While observing the price tag and offers to attract the consumers, they also made connections with Maths concepts, such as money, addition, subtraction and percentages, to real-world scenarios, reinforcing their numeracy skills.
