We perform Knee replacements using CR (Cruciate retaining) and ultra congruent techniques, which preserves natural ligaments and 30% more bone, which is also done by us for the last 7 years. Robotic surgery will add to precision and outcomes of this technique.

Movements, as good as a natural knee, are possible with Microplasty/ partial knee replacement surgery,
because
We don't disturb the healthy natural God given knee and replace only the damaged portion.
Sometimes, actually about half the time, Less is more, in a knee surgery
50% patients who have been advised for Total knee Replacement do not need it at all.
Microplasty/partial knee replacement gives faster recovery, better outcomes and extra 15-20 years before a knee replacement.
Why?
Obviously because it involves replacement only of the damaged 25-30% of the knee and retains 75% of God given knee, to give a feel as good and as normal as a natural knee.
One of our patients, resumed household work in less than a week, and enjoyed Garba in as less as 2 months of partial knee replacement/ Microplasty surgery.

Designed by an engineer and an orthopaedic surgeon, microplasty knee system purely based on human intelligence and surgical skill is still the best partial knee system in the world.
You know why?
1. It preserves natural knee movements better than any system in the world. (Natural knee movements involve appropriate ligament tension during all movements, which is exactly reproduced by microplasty.)
2. It has been used for more than 45 years now (since 1976) with an excellent track record.

For those patients who need a Total Knee Replacement surgery, we are taking a step further in technology. We now have Stryker Orthomap Express Computer Navigation system.
It plays the same role a reverse camera plays in car parking. It guides perfect positioning of the implants ensuring better outcomes.
Yes, Cross leg sitting as well as sitting on the floor is allowed after performing a microplasty.
As shown in the video, the knee is not entirely damaged in about 50% of patients who have been advised for a Total knee replacement.
Microplasty replaces only the damaged portion of the knee and saves 75% of the natural knee.
Use of mobile bearing, as shown, can allow all movements without causing implant wear and tear.
In microplasty (partial knee replacement surgery, we replace only the damaged 25% of your knee and leave rest of the knee intact.
So, it gives a faster recovery. Going up and down the stairs is easily possible after microplasty.

It was a pleasure interacting with surgeons across the Asian continent and presenting my cases on Microplasty or Partial knee replacement surgery, at Oxford bioskills workshop.

👉What is AVN ?
Avascular necrosis is the death of hip bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply.
The problem is on a rise, specially after Covid 19.
Why it happens?
Whenever the blood supply to the hip joint is compromised, patients do suffer from AVN.
Common causes:
1. Covid 19
2. Smoking
3. Alcohol
4. Steroids (for body building, or for medical diseases)
5. Sickel cell anaemia
6. Unknown causes- (20-30%)
Symptoms are usually seen 8-10 months after the onset of disease.

Following Covid 19, patients of AVN / Avascular necrosis have been increasingly seen in our out patient departments.
AVN is a condition in which blood suply to the hip joint stops, causing death of the bone.
They usually come 8-10 months after having infected with covid.
Groin pain, backache and knee pain are predominant symptoms.
It happens because of the covid disease itself as well as steroid intake during covid.
