SHAHI THALI

"I had been living in poor part of Tirunervelli, Tamilnadu. I had to set an example for the younger ones and had to take care of my family so at very tender age of 16 I came here in search of livelihood. I had my uncle here who was selling south Indian staple breakfast idli and dosa so I joined the same as legacy. Intially I had difficulty in learning language but later I managed with lots of turmoil.

By 4 am, I used to plop ladelful of batter into metal mould. Fifteen minutes it take and that's exactly the time needed to rustle up batch of chutney. And by 6:30 am I take my cycle along with container with idlis snuggled inside and other carrying coconut chutney with some heap of paper plates , jug of water and an inmitable horn that announces my arrival. I stand at the place till 11 am till then I have to earn as much as possible. I earn 2000 everyday out of which 1000 goes into my pocket by god's grace I'm enjoying whatever I'm doing. I work my every fritter precious second to enjoy my life later. I'm thinking of expanding my business by adding dhosa in menu too after 4 pm in nearest future."
