Purple Yam or ‘ratalu’ (in Gujarati) is an incredibly nutritious starchy root vegetable & is rich in antioxidants. This recipe is full of flavours and is a must try!🤍 500gms ratalu/purple yam 150gms potato 3tbsp rajagra aata 2tbsp black salt 4tbspGround peantus Green chilli paste Ginger paste 1tbsp Sesame seeds 2tbsp grated coconut 1tsp sugar 2tsp raisins Chopped corriander Lemon Chop ratalu and potato into small pieces and steam it for about 10-15 minutes until cooked. For filling: In a bowl add ratalu and potato pieces, rajara flour & salt, mash them well and keep it aside. In another bowl take grounded peanuts, add coconut, sesame seeds, ginger & chilli paste, sugar, salt corrriander & lemon and 2 tbsp of ratalu paste. Mix them well and roll them into balls. For the covering Take ratalu mixture and flatten them & put the filling in the centre and wrap it. Shalow fry the balls in appe pan using ghee till light brown.
