GREF labourers at 125 RCC Nagula facing hard time through this incessant rainy season. Although every year BRO issues rain coat to the GREF labourers during rainy season, but unfortunately till now the 125 RCC Nagula has not provided rain coat to the labourers who are working in such harsh and high altitude, fully drenched in rain. And to their worst, even if the labourers take leave for one day due to some emergency, the authority deduct the payment of two days. The GREF abourers of 125 RCC Nagula are going through a very pathetic and difficult condition. I request the concerned high authorities to look into this matter seriously at the earliest and help the poor labourers.

As per reliable source it is reported that during the past few weeks many people intending to get recruited as porters crossed the check gates of Tawang and West Kameng without ILPs with the help of Sumo and cab drivers. It is also reported that the passengers were charged exorbitant rates and most of the taxi vehicles carried over capacity passengers thus violating safety norms. Inspite of generosity and hospitality showered by residents of Tawang and Dirang, it was noticed that many of the porter recruitees under the influence of alcohol caused public nuisances in and around market areas of these regions.Team East Today urge the concerned authorities to look into the matter and consider it's intensity as Tawang is a very sensitive area bordering Tibet/China and Bhutan and any lapses can lead to serious consequences.
