360° Watch Tower
Revamp of Vilangan Hills, Thrissur

The 360 degree watchtower at Vilangan Hills is designed to take advantage of the high elevation of the site, which is the highest point in Thrissur. Despite being surrounded by woods that block the views, the tower provides visitors with an unobstructed panoramic view of the surrounding area. The tower features a ramp slope of 1 : 14, making it accessible for visitors in wheelchairs, and the top landing has been designed with ample space to accommodate a large number of people at the same time. As visitors ascend the ramp, the view of the horizon expands, providing them with a truly unique and memorable experience.

Perched amidst the lush greenery of the Vilangan hills, the building offers a unique blend of indoor and outdoor living. With its semi-opened restaurant space and large windows, you'll enjoy breath taking views of the natural surroundings of adat panchayat. The flexible spaces within the building are perfect for hosting small intimate gatherings or large celebrations, making it the perfect venue for any occasion. The material and the colour palette used in the design has been carefully chosen to complement the natural hues of the woods. It's an architectural piece that truly allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while providing a sense of seclusion.

We are overjoyed to have won the Vilangan master plan competition award from the Honorable Minister K.Radhakrishnan . Wadakkanchery MLA Xavier Chittilappilly handed over our winning proposal to the Kerala government through the minister.
