Mann Ki Baat Programme Widely Attended Across Budgam District

The Mann Ki Baat programme was actively listened to across all constituencies of Budgam District, with a central gathering at the District Office in Budgam. The event was led by District President Hakeem Rohullah Ghazi and attended by senior leader Aga Syed Mohsin. Vice Presidents Manzoor Bhat, Bikram Singh, and Umer Rehman were present, along with Baramulla District Vice President Fida Hussain.

Constituency President Jalal ud Din, District Secretaries Mohd Ramzan Yatoo, Gh Hassan Malla, and Hameed Lone, as well as Office Secretary Danish Ashraf, participated in the event. Other workers present included A R Khan, Ishfaq Ahmad, Mohd Yousuf, Ahmed, and Gh Hussain. The programme was also attentively listened to by Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, Minority Morcha General Secretary (State J&K), Er Mudasir Hussain, Minority Morcha District President, Nawaz Ahmad, State Secretary, and Binder Singh.

In the Chadoora Constituency, the programme was listened to by Constituency President Jalaludin Dar and other party workers. In the Khansahib Constituency, Constituency President Maqbool Dar led the listening session with his team of party workers. Similarly, in the Beerwah Constituency, District Vice President Farooq Ganie and Constituency President Showkat Rather, along with other party workers, participated in the session. The Charishareef Constituency saw participation from Mohammad Shafi Hurrah and other party workers.

Additionally, senior leader Mohammad Ashraf Azad and other workers also listened to the Mann Ki Baat programme.

BJP Budgam unit Observes Black Day on 25th June to Mark the Imposition of Emergency in 1975

Budgam, 25th June 2024: The BJP Unit Budgam today observed a Black Day to mark the anniversary of the imposition of Emergency by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 25th June 1975. This day is commemorated to reflect upon and protest against the historical curtailment of democratic freedoms and rights during the Emergency period.

The event was presided over by District President Budgam, Hakeem Rohullah Ghazi , and witnessed the participation of several senior leaders, including G N Namthali and Sameer Ahmad Shah State Working Committee Member. Other key attendees included District General Secretary Showket Raja, District Vice Presidents Manzoor Bhat and Farooq Ahmad, and Adil Ahmad Bhat, State Executive Member BJYM.

Constituency Presidents Jalal Ud Din, Showket Rather, and Maqbool Dar were present, alongside Morcha Presidents A R Shakari, Muzaffar Najar, Yaqoob Gorsi, and Irfan Bhat. District Secretaries Hameed Lone, Gh Hassan, Mohd Ramzan, Samiullah Bhat, and former Constituency President Zahoor Wani also participated in the event. Office Secretary Danish Ashraf, along with other dedicated party workers, marked their presence on this solemn occasion.

District President Hakeem Rohullah Ghazi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of remembering the dark days of Emergency. He highlighted how the imposition of Emergency in 1975 resulted in the suspension of civil liberties, censorship of the press, and mass arrests of political opponents. "Today, we stand united to honor those who fought against the autocratic regime and to ensure that such an affront to democracy never happens again," he stated.

Senior leader G N Namthali and other dignitaries echoed these sentiments, reiterating the party's commitment to safeguarding democratic principles and rights. The speakers urged the younger generation to learn from history and remain vigilant against any attempts to undermine democratic institutions.

The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to uphold the values of democracy and to continue working towards a just and free society.
