The IEEE PES 2017 General Meeting organizing committee and the student activities subcommittee of IEEE PES Power and Energy Education Committee are happy to announce that there will be both a Student Support Program and a Student Poster Contest at the PES General Meeting 2017 in Chicago, IL, USA from Jul 16-20, 2017. We wanted to share something very interesting with you.
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers Inc.), and the Power & Energy Society (PES) of IEEE, India instituted the annual IEEE PES India Scholarship Award (IPISA) to encourage young people entering the Electrical engineering and technology profession. The IPISA Scholarships will be given on merit-based selection criteria to attract the real talent and meritorious students to electrical engineering stream by extending the scholarship to toppers in the pre-engineering qualifying examination. This year, the awards are given to the I semester/year B.Tech students from AICTE/UGC-approved institutions from across the country.
The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. Seventy five thousand only) per student per year to be renewed annually for entire duration of degree course subject to further qualifying requirements. The scholarship will be distributed as below
50,000 (Rs. Fifty thousand only) per year per student towards the college and hostel fee. No bills to be produced by the selected student.
To the maximum extent of Rs. 25,000 (Rs. Twenty five thousand only) per year per student towards the expenses incurred towards attending seminars, conferences, tutorials, workshops and internships to be paid to the student on production of suitable documents of attending the same.

Marketing
• Work on different social media channels like (Facebook, Twitter, Instgram, Youtube, IEEE collabratec..…)
• Prepare the outreach marketing campaigns
• Encourage IEEE members to celebrate IEEE Day
• Reach out to dormant IEEE areas to engage them in IEEE Day

Multi Media
• Prepare designs to support necessary content and promotional
• Create necessary video content for promotional materials

Contest
• Put rules of photo and video contests
• Define new categories and competitions
• Announce winners
• Follow up on transferring awards to winners
• Moderate all photo and video submissions
• Update submission form to accommodate 2016 submissions
• Review events map that events are pinned and submission form is working properly

Web Development
• Prepare web designs and update the content of website
• Manage and maintain the website
• Develop tracking system - plugins

Mobile App Developer
• Develop dedicated communication app on mobile for IEEE Day

Contents
• Prepare text data for publications and materials.
• Prepare text data for feedback forms and any other needed texts
• Review and update all the document of IEEE Day
• Prepare articles about the IEEE Day to be published in IEEE magazines
• Responsible for electronic communications with IEEE OUs
