Meet Rocky :
On December 23, 2023 Mr Mahendra brought Rocky to Aashiyana from Serkhi village. Rocky was suffering with testical tumor. He was in pain and discomfort. Our medical team removed the tumor surgically and Rocky is recovering well at Aashiyana post operative care.
We wish Rocky speedy recovery 🙏

Meet Veeru :
Veeru is yet another victim of hit and run😢
Research says being kind makes us happier. A second car or gym membership won't change that win-win feeling. If you see someone that needs help or know someone who is scared be kind to them. If you do it at the right time, it will enter their hearts and it will be with them forever, no matter how much time passes. They will remember ❤️
Please drive carefully!!! They too have family!!
Veeru was rescued by our evening feeding team and brought to Aashiyana late in the evening. He was unconscious and hardly breathing with excruciating pain. First aid was immediately given to Veeru with liquid diet.
Senior Vets further examined Veeru and the X-ray showed minor Crack in the hind limb. But Veeru started walking in the morning with a limp. He will be at Aashiyana post - treatment until recovers completely. Best wishes to Veeru for his speedy recovery 🙏🙏

1395 days Yes !! That's how long it has been since we started feeding 200 to 225 strays EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Every evening our hardworking and dedicated team carries food and water in our mobile healthcare van to different areas of the city ensuring min 130 -150 strays are fed. Additionally, also provide on- spot treatment to injured animals and in some cases bring them to Aashiyana for further treatment and care if need be ..
A little background to how the evening feeding drive started.
The street animals who were dependent on individual feeders, street food vendors, and restaurants in turn had to close shop due to COVID - 19. The drive started soon after the lockdown was enforced back in March 2020.
Whilst we stayed in the comfort of our home, less fortunate animals were going hungry, we knew something had to be done.
We're a small, but mighty community striving to make lives better for the street animals in our own little way.

Story of Rocky::
Rocky had come to Aashiyana from Mumbai as he was considered to be an aggressive dog, biting everyone.
Rocky is a happy dog at Aashiyana......
Reasons why he was aggressive!!
He wasn't liked by the society members .
He was kept tied 24*7
He had no freedom.
He was scared of people around of hurting him.
Rocky got all the freedom and love at Aashiyana which made him a happy dog 🐶

Before - After Recovery case of Shinu :
Shinu had come to Aashiyana from Shubhanpura area on December 24, 2023, with severe swelling on the face. Thanks to Mr. Kunal who helped Shinu by bringing him to Aashiyana for medical treatment.
Shinu was provided with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications . Shinu is released back to his locality with his siblings after administering anti-rabies shot.

Our first day of the year started with number of calls to pick up the injured and sick street animals for medications and temporary shelter. We could document four rescue calls from Navayard, Fatehgunj, Bhaili and old padra road. Our medical team have started treatment and medications for all the rescued babies and we hope they would get well soon 🙏

Meet Bheem !
Thanks to Mayur More, who brought Bheem to Aashiyana on December 21, 2023, from Vadsar area with multiple fractures on hind limbs making Bheem paraplegic. Bheem is on pain relief medications with nervine tonic and supportive treatments like red light therapy.

Meet John :
On December 27, 2023, Mr Sapan brought John from sibhanpura area with a fractured lower mandable, bleeding with pain.
John was on immediate medications for pain relief and antibiotics. He had to be on liquid diet and given rest .

Meet Lalu :
On December 25, 2023 , Mr Fatehsinh brought Lalu from Angadh village for treatment and medications. Lalu was suffering from ear hemstoms, which needed surgical drainage of accumulated fluid in the ear, under general anaesthesia. Lalu is recovering well at Aashiyana post surgery and we wish him a speedy recovery 🙏.
