Injection moulding process is generally used to achieve high speed moulding of thermo plastic. It works on the principle that the molten thermo plastic is injected into a mould and a high pressure is applied the desired shape is obtained. Plunger system is used for achieving high pressure.

LATEST MECHANICAL INNOVATION :-

Solar roadways :
Everyone has power. No more power shortages, no more roaming power outages, no more need to burn coal (50% of greenhouse gases). Less need for fossil fuels and less dependency upon foreign oil. Much less pollution. How about this for a long term advantage: an electric road allows all-electric vehicles to recharge anywhere: rest stops, parking lots, etc. They would then have the same range as a gasoline-powered vehicle. Internal combustion engines would become obsolete. Our dependency on oil would come to an abrupt end.

It's time to upgrade our infrastructure - roads and power grid - to the 21st century.

What is the reason behind having a vertical exhaust system in a tractor?

1) Tractor is a off-road vehicle, usually used in every terrain including water dominated areas, where, there are chances of water to get in exhaust pipe and causing harm to the engine and exhaust system itself.

2) Most of tractors don't have protective cab, so to avoid suffocation vertical arrangement is best.

3) Many chemicals are spread on crops or plants by driving tractor on the space between plants. If exhaust system is horizontal and below the driver them harmful and hot emissions can harm the crop.

Special note - Sometimes the end of exhaust pipe is curved, or has a hinged cover flap which the gas flow blows out of the way, to try to prevent foreign objects (including droppings from a bird perching, rain drops, ice on the exhaust pipe when the vehicle is not being used) getting inside the exhaust pipe.

Miner cannot cut the full roadway with one single pass. If we want then we have to run it forward backward and side to side which may lead to rough surface of the tunnel,that we don't need

continuous miner would:

- Be able to cut the full face in one pass

- Be easily moveable between locations without dismantling parts

- Be able to excavate right angle turns with a minimum radius

- Have roof and rib bolters fixed to the machine in a location where each row of the designed support pattern can be installed without moving the miner and be installed close to the cut face if necessary

- Have adequate space alongside to allow good ventilation of the face area for efficient removal of gas and dust.

- Allow strata supports to be safely installed while coal cutting continues

-> Continuous miners
Though there are many variations in design, continuous miners mostly consist of five main elements:

A central body to carry all other components mounted on some type of drive mechanism to provide mobility (most commonly caterpillar tracks).

- A "cutting head" usually rotating drum(s) and/or chains with cutting picks attached

- A loading mechanism to pick up cut coal and deliver it into the central part of the machine

- A conveying system, usually a chain conveyor running in a steel trough from front to rear of the miner

- A rear jib section capable of a degree of vertical and horizontal movement to enable the coal to be delivered into a transport or loaded at a desired point.

The six-legged, 1,500-pound mechanical underwater robot is ready to help scientists explore previously unreachable sea beds. It stabilizes itself by putting its head down, its rear up, and facing the water flow, and can dive as deep as 660 feet. It also comes equipped with 11 cameras, sonar, and an acoustic Doppler current profiler to send information back to the surface.

Solar Roadways has taken the first step to creating the world’s largest solar panel: The company uses tempered glass and photovoltaic cells to create intelligent, energy-harvesting pavement, complete with built-in heating elements for melting ice and LEDs for signage. The technology is still in its infancy, but with funding from the Federal Highway Administration and an Indiegogo campaign, the company finished a prototype parking lot in Idaho earlier this year.
