Diwali is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy all over India. People start preparing for the festival weeks in advance. They clean their homes, decorate them with lights and rangolis, and buy new clothes. On Diwali night, people light diyas and candles all around their homes and offices.
Dhanteras holds significance for various reasons. Primarily, it's believed to be the day when Lord Dhanvantari, the physician of the gods, emerged with the elixir of life during the churning of the ocean. Additionally, it marks the day when Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, is worshiped to invite prosperity into homes.
People also consider Dhanteras an opportune time to invest in precious metals or items that symbolize wealth, as it is believed to bring good fortune. Overall, the festival is a celebration of prosperity, well-being, and the onset of the Diwali festival.
Triumph of good over evil:
The day of Dussehra marks the end of demons like Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna which symbolises that anyone can burn their vices such as anger, lust, identification, pride, greed, jealousy, injustice, cruelty and ego.
The literal meaning of Durga is the strong and unconquered one. Ashtami means eighth day of the fortnight. It is often also ascribed significance with respect to the eight-armed Durga holding weapons to destroy her enemies and bless those who seek her protection.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated for a whole 11 days. It begins on the Chaturthi when people install the statue of Lord Ganesha in their homes and temples. This festival ends on Anant Chaturdashi with Ganesh Visarjan. The devotees of the Lord Ganesha offer their prayers to God.
In Bhagavad-Gita Lord Krishna said that everything happens for a cause or good reason. Whatever happens in life happen for good and there is always a cause or reason behind that. He also mentioned that we all are children of God, the one creator. God is supreme power and this world is governed by him.

The word Raksha means protection, whilst Bandhan is the verb to tie. Traditionally, during the festival sisters tie a rakhi, a bracelet made of interwoven red and gold threads, around their brothers' wrists to celebrate their relationship.
