The 26th Indian Prosthodontic Society National Post graduate Convention was held at Saveetha Dental College, Chennai from 5th to 7th of April 2024. Dr. Riya Patel, Dr. Krishna Dave and Dr. Param Ajmera - Second year postgraduate students of Department of Prosthodontics, K M SHAH DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, SVDU, won the SESSION BEST POSTER AWARD 🥇. They presented a systematic review on PATIENT REPORTED OUTCOMES FOR CONVENTIONAL VERSUS DIGITAL COMPLETE DENTURES.

The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry had successfully organised the CDE Program on “Sedate the dental fear". Dr Daivik Modh, Chief pediatric dental surgeon at Heeya Pediatric Dental Hospital, Ahmedabad and founder and pioneer of NOX & Dr Hetasvi Reshamwala,exclusive pediatric dentist at Heeya Pediatric Dental Hospita lgave a knowledgeable lecture and hands-on workshop. More than 85 students, private practitioners and institute staff had attended the program.

Brief about the program
Institutional Research Committee (IRC), K M Shah Dental College & Hospital, is organizing a National level Student and Faculty Development Workshop titled ‘Understanding and Translating Systematic Review & Meta Analysis for Publication’ on 21st and 22nd of December 2023.
The resource person is Dr. Vini Mehta, Associate Professor, Dept. of Public Health Dentistry, Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pune. She is a Research Consultant and mentor to various academicians and clinicians from various healthcare fields. She is currently heading the Dental Research Cell of her college. She has founded her own consultation company named STAT SENSE. She also works as a Public Health and Research Expert in two NGOs, ASAR (Association for Socially Applicable Research) and SAMVAD. She has published more than 25 SRs and 70+ research publications to her credit in peer-reviewed journals.
This program will have participants who are Postgraduate students and Academicians from university and around the state. The delegates will learn the fundamentals of systematic review and meta- analysis.

The guest speakers- Dr. Sh*tal Hathila and Dr. Hina Rajput, faculty from Baroda Medical College were eminent resource persons in the field of Health Sciences Education .
Delegates from all Constituent Institutions of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth ( Deemed to be University) actively participated in the event.

A one-day National level CDE programme was conducted on Advances in Oral Medicine & Radiology on the occasion of National OMR day. Dr. Mahendra Patait delivered the key note lecture on Application of Cone Beam CT in Dental Practice. Online and offline scientific E- poster competitions and Table clinics were conducted for Faculty, undergraduates and post graduates in the department of Oral Medicine and Radiology.

K M Shah Dental College and Hospital organised IPR module for Dental Interns on 24/3/23 and MDS 2nd year Post Graduate students on 12/4/33 for the academic year 2022 - 2023.
The welcome address was given by Dean Dr RV Subramanyam.
The resource faculty for both the modules were *IPR Coordinators* : Dr Anshula Deshpande (Professor of Pediatric Dentistry) and Dr Jasuma Rai (Professor in Department of Periodontology)
