Charles and Ray Eames enriched the collage-like interior of their private home, the Eames House, with numerous objects and accessories that they brought back from their travels. For over seventy years, the figure of a wooden bird has stood in the centre of the living room – an artefact that was evidently highly treasured by the couple, since it also appeared frequently as an accessory in photographs taken by Charles and Ray.

The versions stained in dark green or pale rose are part of the Special Collection 2023 and are only available until the end of January 2024.

The ‘super large’ version of Wooden Doll No. 1 is enlarged to a scale of 4.15:1 and measures approximately 80 centimetres in height. Charles and Eero Saarinen created the Organic Chair in 1940 as part of their entry for 'Organic Design in Home Furnishings', a competition organised by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The small reading chair offers superb comfort, thanks to its comfortably upholstered, biomorphically shaped seat shell, and is also available in a version with a higher backrest: Organic Highback.

The swivel-based lounge chair Grand Repos offer unparalleled comfort with their generous padding, inviting armrests and synchronised mechanism concealed beneath the upholstery. Chaise Tout Bois by corresponds to one of Jean Prouvé's design variants from 1941, whose construction does not require a single screw. The height and seat geometry are the same as those of the Standard chair and thus meet current norms and requirements. The warm look and feel of wood contrasts appealingly with the practical structural design, which is typical of Prouvé's functional approach. Chaise Tout Bois is available in light oak or dark-stained oak.

Introduced in 1948 and eventually marketed as the first mass-produced plastic chair, the Eames Shell Chairs established an entirely new typology in seating. As a special edition for the winter season 2023/24, is issuing the Lounge Chair with a Phlox fabric cover in the colour dark green. Phlox is a velour corduroy textile, which combined with a palisander wood shell emphasises the armchair’s iconic appearance, while its pine-green metal parts – base and back braces – form a contrasting contemporary feature.

Phlox is a pleasantly soft velour textile with corduroy ribbing created by designer Raf Simons for the Danish fabric manufacturer Kvadrat. The removable velour covers develop a characteristic patina through use.

After more than two successful years, the Store Germany is moving from Offenbach to Weil am Rhein on the .
