Da Manifattura Tabacchi a CX Milan | Bicocca: una storia di riqualificazione e trasformazione.

Il progetto che ha reso possibile la costruzione di CX Milan | Bicocca, nasce con l’intento di conservare l’identità storica e l’iconicità di un luogo simbolo della città. Edificato nel 1930, il complesso ha vissuto una lunga storia prima di diventare ciò che è oggi: uno spazio riqualificato a servizio della città e del quartiere.

Ogni scelta, come quella di lasciare la pavimentazione originale o di realizzare una carta da parati che ritrae immagini storiche dell’edificio, è stata pensata per mantenere vivo il ricordo di Manifattura.

A CX Milan | Bicocca si ripercorre la storia attraverso la sua simbologia, camminando attraverso gli spazi è possibile, infatti, rivivere l'atmosfera di un tempo passato: dagli ingranaggi evocativi della natura industriale dell’edificio ai quattro pilastri grezzi su cui è ancora visibile la segnaletica dell’“idrante”, fino ad arrivare alla scelta di conservare nelle scale i graffiti realizzati durante l'occupazione di Manifattura.

Manifattura Tabacchi per noi non è solo uno spazio nel quale abbiamo dato vita ad un nuovo CX è il crocevia di centinaia di studenti e viaggiatori che oggi danno a questa ex-area industriale una connotazione diversa e contribuiscono alla sua evoluzione e proiezione nel futuro.
Ogni struttura porta con sé nuove storie da raccontare e trasformazioni da attuare e per raccontarvele partiamo da questa: uno spazio che diventa l'incarnazione di un'epoca che si rinnova, continuando a ispirare e ad accogliere chiunque varchi le sue porte. 🚀
