IOV Argentine National Section, through the Academic Pedagogical Commission, specially invites to the *International Congress 2024 ❞SHARED CLASSROOMS❞ and International Exhibition ❞ Pedagogy on stage❞*, under the motto: _Challenges in the didactic transposition of Intangible Heritage, Folklore and Popular Arts in the South American and Caribbean context._

This event will be held at the Parque del conocimiento in the city of Posadas, Province of Misiones, Argentina, from September 6th to 8th, 2024.

We also inform that from April 30th to June 30th registration will be open for exhibitors, workshop leaders, directors of couples and dancers in pairs of folkloric dances.

The launch of the Nova Petrópolis International Folklore Festival will take place this Friday (June 2nd).

The Nova Petrópolis International Folklore Festival - 2023 promises to be one of the biggest ever held in the state. The official launch of the event will take place this Friday (02) at 6:30 pm and will also be broadcast virtually on the Festival's Instagram. (festivaldefolclorenp)

The 50th edition of the festival will take place from the 12th to the 30th of July. The full schedule will be presented shortly.

The International Organization of Folklore and Popular Arts – IOV/UNESCO. official partner of the festival says that this year's event will be marked by unique and unforgettable moments and will remain in everyone's memory for a long time.

IOV Science and Research Commission for Europe, IOV Latvian Section, Latvia National Centre for Culture and The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia organize IOV 15th European International Scientific Conference of Folk Culture “Intangible cultural heritage in European social space: artistry and cultural practices”.

The conference will be held from September 3rd to 4th, 2023, in Riga (Latvia) within the Contemporary Craft Fair in the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia. The conference languages are Latvian and English.

CALL FOR PAPERS AND ABSTRACTS

To preserve national identity nowadays it is important to continue to assess, preserve and pass the country’s material and spiritual cultural heritage on to the next generation.
In order to update this problem in a broad context, Latvia National Centre for Culture together with The Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia and IOV Science and Research Commission for Europe invite scholars and researchers of different aspects of intangible cultural heritage to participate in the conference “Intangible cultural heritage in European social space: artistry and cultural practices”, and to present papers and discuss various aspects of the theme. The topics of scientific considerations include analyses of artistic, ideological, philosophical, local, regional, and global elements of intangible cultural heritage in the realms of folk systems of values, folkways, habits, annual and family rituals, etc.

Suggested content of speeches and topics for discussions:
1) Intangible and tangible dimension of folk art.
2) Traditional and contemporary folk handicrafts in the region.
3) The proportion of traditions and novelties in folk handicrafts.
4) The boundary between traditional and contemporary folk art.
5) Intangible cultural heritage role in urban development and tourism economy.
6) The vision for the future of traditional art in the development of craftsmanship in Europe.
7) Regional policy of safeguarding national identity and passing folk traditions on to younger generations.

The 2023 IOV World General Assembly will take place in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

all members are invited

Participants should arrive in Sharjah at 2023 March 8th and plan to depart on March 12th .

The General Assembly will start on the morning of March 9th.
A more detailed meeting agenda will be placed at the IOV website as soon as possible.

A registration fee of 20 USD / 20 EURO will be charged from each participant and must by paid in advance following Instructions on the web site www.iov.world,
The local organizer IOV MENA, regional headquarters in Sharjah, will be responsible for all meetings, local transportation and hotel accommodations for free.

Participants must fill out their wishes about hotel-accommodation (single- or double room) on the application form online. ( see in the MENU section )

After submitting your registration form online, you will receive an acknowledgment from the organizing committee.
The Official Invitation letter will be sent by the IOV Secretary General Office only to IOV members in good standing and follow once they have submitted all of the required information and paid the WGA registration fee.

The booking confirmation will be only after sent to General Secretary copy of confirmed air fly ticket to Dubai.
