Flavio Parenti, the founder of the family whoopened the first leather workshop in 1977, his daughter

Flavia who joined the company in the 1980s, and Flavio, Flavia’s husband and curiously namesake of his father, who in 1988 opened the first FP Pelletterie Shop in Piazza del Duomo 37 R in Florence.

Since 2023, Andrea, the son of Flavia and Flavio, and the grandson of the founder Flavio Parenti, has become part of FP Pelletterie, thus reaching the Third Generation.

Design, striking patterns and colors of each bag make Gabs a current brand that is also suitable for a young and enterprising audience.

For this reason, we have chosen the Gabs brand for our shop in the heart of Florence

HOW TO SHORTEN A BELT

To shorten a belt, you’ll need a few simple tools: a small screwdriver, a pair of sharp scissors, and a belt hole puncher.

Start by loosening the screw on the buckle, then carefully remove theexcess length.

Use scissors to trim the surplus, and adjust the holes as needed with the puncher.

Reassemble the belt for a custom fit.

From 1562, at the behest of Cosimo I de’ Medici, it flowed into the Arte dei Cuoiai (curriers).

Today, Florence continues to be one of the capitals of Italian leather craftsmanship.

Flavio Parenti was born in Florence, and from a young age he developed a passion for craftsmanship. In the 1960s, he began working leather by hand and in 1977 he decided to open, together with his wife Carla, the first craft workshop in the historic center of Florence, following the tradition of the Florentine masters.
