On the occasion of @georgina__starr’s 6th exhibition at the gallery we are excited to announce the publication of ‘Le Cerveau Affame’ - a set of 36 predictive cards which Starr created in 2013. The cards appear as an oracular guide within her new film ‘Quarantaine’. The film will be screening alongside an exhibition of the original artwork used to create this mysterious deck of cards. Le Cerveau Affamé is a place that appears to a person during heightened states of euphoria, confusion, melancholia or despair. Le Cerveau is not the answer, it merely proposes a new set of questions. On entering, a game is set in motion. The initiate is shown a set of 36 cards, the selection of which unveils a journey. There can be multiple visits, each spread of the deck reveals a different proposition. Le Cerveau Affamé is based on four principal suites: ‘the brain’ ‘the bubble’ ‘the cat’ and ‘the hand’. Mouthing the card name silently and energetically will release its meaning into your brain. For info about the cards you can write at [email protected]
