La gioia delle camere dei bimbi amplificata dalle tende colorate e birichine. L’allegria prosegue nella camera dei genitori dove una carta da parati ha creato lo spunto per il tessuto del paralume e dello spazzolino aggiunto sulle tende volutamente leggere come nuvolette.

Partendo dalla gioia che solo alcune stanze di bambini sanno sprigionare abbiamo aggiunto delle tende colorate ed un po’ birichine.. la stanza dei genitori seguiva la stessa allegria con un tono elegante ed un riferimento sul colore dello spazzolino sulle tende volutamente leggere come nuvolette. #

Living room whimsy by way of a classic Pierre Frey wallpaper that’s a delightful mix of French & English chinoiserie.

The hard-edged credenza, mid-century style sofa & perfect pot plant create a clean meditative tone by contrast. The slanting morning light is beautifully captured by the photographer who lives here.

Boys & their toys are tender reminders of our youth.
This seaside studio apartment is slowly coming together as a personal expression of our client who has an appreciation of elegant details. And the bedroom is the right place to start, with Italian linen curtains & soft unstructured pelmet to frame the window.
Then the decision of whether to retain the antique dresser & bedside cabinets, or buy new rational pieces. We suggested a touch of paint & wallpaper to freshen up the old dames e voilà! Upcycled masculine elegance also to display a classic car model.
Next comes the living room…

Cheeky monkeys play amongst foliage & forbidden fruit on a gold ground on this bedroom feature wall.
Our client was originally looking for human figures, & after going down the rabbit-hole of choices, eventually chose this richly playful Fornasetti design, which made perfect sense with the caramel painted wall behind the bed.
Not humans, but naughty monkeys, which to my mind makes perfect sense 😉
Add a triptych & asymmetrically-hung pendant light & you have a sophisticated & welcoming ambience 🧡

Ancient moonscapes, cityscapes, shimmering landscapes, monolithic repetitions & shibori-type prints mark the ethereal quality of this Black Edition Zafaro collection of wallpapers.
Some are delicately flocked, whilst others have a rice-papery touch or metallic overprints.
They’re the geometrics you have when they’ve been washed, wrung & hung out to dry. Beautiful & dreamy…

Robbing spaces & places for storage in historic apartments is the name of the game!
A corridor that passes in front of a bedroom transforms into a cleverly concealed wardrobe & dressing room.
A comprehensive collection of clothing hangs behind a heavy cotton crushed velvet curtain, whilst two triple-folding mirrors hide behind brass-framed wallpaper panels.
A freshly upholstered antique stool in complementary stripes sits easily upon original tessellated tiles.

Rich bordeaux velvet curtains with contrasting ivory hem & black piping add elegance & gravitas to this dining area. Add a little bit of irreverence with a Fornasetti lampshade & you have a luxurious personalized space to relax & entertain in this bachelor pad.

Whisper-light sheers in silk blend filter light whilst providing privacy to the most strategic of fighters in training 😉

Practical & decorative considerations are the guidelines for transforming a house into a home.
Even people who are resistant to window treatments (curtains & blinds) can be led into new territories; much like this collection of vintage mirrors that reflect & complement the linen blind. With limited space & natural light, this linen Roman blind with plum velvet frame appliqué was a rigorous & luxurious solution for creating privacy in this ground-floor apartment.
An antique occasional chair was freshened up with a textured & robust satin in plum & electric blue.

Pattern mash-up with printed linen pendant lights brings joy & irreverence into a kitchen/dining space.

An unexpected fire presented our clients with the opportunity to rethink the upholstery on their original B&B Italia sofas.
Going with the 70s theme, we suggested a smudgy turquoise corduroy for the cushions & a multi-colored tufted bouclé for the structure. Contrasting red corduroy was chosen for the whistle chairs.
