Today was the day! Storms and train strikes not withstanding the lively group of polcomm enthusiasts made it to Milan to start a week of intense work. 🍕Reunion of the 2022 “class” at the ICA in Toronto last week. 💟💟🍻🍸🍷

At the closing ceremony, under the smiling gazes and ovation of Patricia Moy and of the entire Class 2022, Gianpietro Mazzoleni, founder and head of the School, "passes the gavel" hugging the next planner Sergio Splendore.

Day 6 of PolComm School. Students experiment with table design in groups. The 7th edition of the school closes Prof. Patricia Moy's engaging workshop on effective strategies for publishing in peer review journals.

Final lecture by Prof. Cristian Vaccari "Social Media and Democracy in a Comparative Perspective". A perfect wrap up of a week-long reflection on how political communication faces the challenges of the digital ecosystem.

Day 5. Can a Summer School on Political Communication pretend coronavirus is something alien? Nope! So, here a timely lecture by Prof. Peter van Aelst on how it has affected politics, political communications, journalism and of course our research.

Day 4 of PolComm School. For the first time, an alumna comes back to the school... On the other side of the desk! We are so excited and proud to host Prof. Ulrike Klinger's lecture on “Platforms, Power and Politics - How Algorithms Impact Political Communication”.

Day 3 of PolComm School. Lecture on disinformation and journalism by Prof. Regina Lawrence, editor of 'Political Communication', the leading journal of the discipline.

Prof. Young Mie Kim unveils how Russia exploits digital media to influence Western public opinion.

Day 2 of PolComm School. Prof. Philip Howard helps us to better understand the dynamics of misinformation with his thrilling lecture 'Lie Machines. Misinformation and the Global Information Environment'.

Prof. Sophie Lecheler, previously chair of The Political Communication Division of the International Communication Association (ICA), inaugurates the 7th Polcomm Summer School with a lecture on 'Toxicity, Negativity, and Incivility in Online Political Discourse &... What To Do About It'.
