Even if you don’t like prints, you will love this one. This cotton canvas dress from Marni S/S 2001 collection is so playful and poetic - so Marni. And look at the make up and the hairdos of the runway show: how can you be so cute?

When, one layer after another, you remove everything you don’t need, what remains must be perfect to shine in its own light. This sweater is exactly that: the perfect sweater, with the perfect shape, in the perfect material and the perfect shade. But with an unexpected detail that shakes up all that perfection: a chunky collar that looks like a necklace. It’s Hermès by Margiela, from the S/S 1999 collection.

There are black dresses. And there is this black dress. Prada S/S 2000 of course.

Sciura* Prada pumps never die 🙌
We love big, bold Prada shoes, but ladylike Prada pumps from the 1980s or 1990s are next level. It takes a good dose of irony to wear them in 2024 (of course you can pair them with an old-fashioned outfit, but in our opinion they look their best with one or two clashing details - think baggy pants or messy hair or a Margiela piece or whatever you are in the mood for). Plus, their quality is truly amazing: best shapes, best materials, best everything!

For the January 2005 issue of Franca Sozzani’s Vogue Italia, Steven Meisel shot a legendary editorial that also made it onto the cover. Hollywood Style (that’s the name of the editorial) was inspired by the aesthetics of American tabloids, featuring off-duty celebrity shots stolen by the paparazzi.
Here you can spot our Gaultier S/S 2005 pink leather bomber, styled with the most Y2K vibe ever 💕

Our micro shop in Via Cesare Correnti has been our home for over two years: it has hosted us with love and we could not be more grateful. But we have grown up and the time has come to move: to paraphrase John Fante, we need a bigger house because we are people with big plans. Can’t wait to show you the new shop: PORTA VENEZIA be ready!
NEW LOCATION AND OPENING DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON 💕
Only an unconventional and ironic mind could imagine a dress like this. It has all the typical features of a flirty little summer dress (mini length, front opening, bare shoulders and belly, shimmering, printed fabric), but with a few wrong details that make it different from its archetype: the fabric is a thick silk duchesse (a precious fabric, usually used for evening or even wedding gowns), the print, not a floral or geometric one, is a beach-themed photographic print reminiscent of the postcards sold in every seaside resort, and the main color is the least summery hue you can image, a Milanese dark grey. Prada S/S 2010, of course.

It’s not het real name, but for me the Miu Miu S/S 2005 collection is the Jamaica collection. Think lots of colours, stripes, prints, crochet, bold jewellery, clashing patterns and the happiest, most joyful attitude, as you can see from the smiles backstage during the show.
These feather print shorts, made from a luxurious silk faille, are a summer hit and a perfect transitional piece. You need them 🌈

When talking about Dries Van Noten, most people think of prints, florals, embroidery, but actually he has always designed magnificent monochrome pieces, both in his very special colours - peach, teal blue, purple, crimson, emerald green - and in black and white. His black pieces are my favorite and this dress is one of the most beautiful I have come across lately. It was one of the last dresses to be shown, in a white version, on the F/W 1994 catwalk, but we like our black one better! It is crafted from the most precious silk shantung and is really a tailoring masterpiece 🖤

These shoes are made to steal the show ❤️
Look at them! These Prada wedges from the late 1990s are a masterpiece. Crafted from buttery suede in a dramatic poppy red hue, they feature ruched details on the back and knots on the open toes. And the slim, slender wedge makes them elegant and so sexy 💔

If you know us, you know we are huge fans of Yohji Yamamoto jackets, and this one is from his S/S 2005 collection is ❤️
Besides its stunning design, with a slightly oversized fit, marked shoulders and an asymmetric hem with rounded edges, this jacket is entirely made of ramie, a rare and precious vegetal fibre from Asia, whose texture is similar to linen but with a smoother, silk-like feel. The color is the delicate red of geranium petals.

Queen of everything rocking this one-of-a-kind shirt in the backstage of Miu Miu S/S 2005 runway show 🫶

This adorable sheath dress from the early 1990s has a vibe somewhere between Jackie Kennedy and Amy Winehouse. Made from Katharine Hammett trademark denim in a sand colour with a hint of pink, it has a crazy fit. We couldn’t love it more 💗

Stone washed denim, black patent leather trimmings land a mosaic of sequins: only the most chic of them all would have come up with such a combination. And not for an evening handbag, but for a daytime shoulder bag, roomy enough to hold a computer and a thousand other things. Presented in Dries Van Noten S/S 2007 collection, this bag is a dream 🖤

If you know us, you know that we are big fans of Prada shoes. The adjective “clever” may seem inappropriate when talking about shoes, but if we had to describe Prada’s shoes we would say that they are clever. Never obvious, fun, chic in a non-boring way, precious, eccentric, sometimes almost ugly, always different from all the other shoes you see around. We love them madly.
These ones are epic. The F/W 2007 collection they come from is one of Mrs Prada’s masterpieces, and the curved, banana-shaped heel is pretty legendary. They are crafted from a precious satin in a three-tone gorgeous palette: pistachio green, black and cappuccino beige. Just wonderful 💚🖤🤎

Jil Sander fans now and forever 💛
We’re a sucker for archival Jil Sander adverts, and this one from the 1990s is just perfect: it depicts the archetypal Jil Sander pencil skirt at its chicest ever. The skirt from our archive has the same minimal 1990s vibe, but is made from a gold metal-blend fabric with a crazy texture. Plus, the fit is so perfect you won’t believe it!

We love so much the Miu Miu F/W 1998 collection ❤️🤍🖤 No prints, no frills, just colour block pieces, monochrome or two-tone looks (red, white, black, grey), crisp fabrics, futuristic and technical details. So modern, so fresh, so now, we want it all.
This miniskirt is made of a silk-acetate blend faille, with a super minimalist look unexpectedly softened by side slits edged with small flounces. Delicious.

When you see this canvas, you know it’s Prada S/S 1999, aka the year when Mrs Prada decided to bring sportswear and technical fabrics on the catwalk. She predicted the future, since 25 years later we are still there 🫶

Undoubtedly Junya Watanabe’s most famous show, the catwalk for his S/S 2000 collection, entitled ‘Function and Practicality’, opened with two girls running down the rain-soaked floor, wearing only headscarves and simple dresses. In turn, each unfastened the side seams and turned the front of the dress on itself, revealing a different color and print - in fact, two looks in one. And we have one of those dress 🥹

You don’t need to be a fashion geek to recognize the brand behind this set. Since their beginning in the middle 1980s, Dolce & Gabbana style has been unmistakable: black lace, corsets, slip dresses, tailored shapes, leopard prints, bedroom dressing worn as daywear - a sensual aesthetic perfectly embodied by quintessential Italian beauties such as Anna Magnani, Sophia Loren, Isabella Rossellini, Monica Bellucci. In the S/S 1997 collection, though, the magic duo added a sense of coziness to their signature designs: peignoirs, crochet pieces, soft knits, romantic floral prints.
This gorgeous set comes in pale blue and taupe beige, two of the signature colors of the collection. The corset, made of stretch satin, features the brand’s distinctive powder-coloured adjustable straps and straight neckline, while the high-waisted and insanely flattering skirt is crafted from a luxurious double-layered cotton-blend crispy mesh, with a streategic gathering at the back.

That time when Mrs Prada decided to@play with the cliché of the glamorous Italian summer and designed a collection that made us fall in love (and still does)
We got several pieces from Prada S/S 2004 over the past few years, because we love it so much, but now we are left with these five:
1. Postcard print circle skirt dress
2. Andy arc print two piece romper
3. Abstract print cotton shirt
4. Pleated tie and dye jacket
5. Tie and dye circle skirt

If you must have only one black dress in your wardrobe, it needs to be a Yohji Yamamoto dress. If it’s from F/W 1995 and it’s that good, look no further.
I sourced this dress two years ago but I put it on sale only yesterday because it doesn’t fit me but it’s so beautiful I hesitated to let him go 🥹
