Happy to show you “Shades. RB” (pic 4) our new piece inspired by the concept of traversability and shaped by light through the graphic language of the textures.

The filaments chosen for the definition of the design combine a red orange with black tones, thus creating a dynamic contrast thanks to the strong orthogonal weave of resin fibers, combined with different yarns, which allows you to achieve different effects depending on the intensity of the design and the pigment of the texture. The threads break the rigor of the design with the softness of the large fringes, ductile extensions to stretch towards the architectural space.⁠⁠⁠

New things are happening!

Excited to share our brand new project which is due to open in 2026: the whole set-up and wayfinding of the historic Castello Bufalini, a splendid stately home located within San Giustino area, near Perugia.

Fitting lightly into the historical context of the pre-existing structure, our project involves the redevelopment of 1470 square metres, which, in addition to the internal spaces also include the external spaces of the courtyard and the loggia on the first floor, with a wonderful view of the Umbrian hills, and the 9500 square metres of Italian-style gardens that surround the castle.

Visible Voices is a visualization of dialogues and intersections in living space.

In this projection, traces of some of Italo Calvino’s texts come to life to become imaginary dialogues between the characters that inhabit the drawings, focusing on cities understood as a precious agglomerate of memory, desires and languages.

Visible Voices – Human Patterns

A special one off event we developed in synergy with on 18h April.

Images, patterns, sounds and words gave life to a dynamic story open to the city that, through the Augmented Reality, offered a furher level of reading mixing sounds, voices and animated patterns

The intersection of different patterns based on original drawings by Ico Migliore animated the façade of Ett headquarters, inviting everyone to reflect on the concept of relationships: between human beings and their surroundings, humans and the city, humans and the objects.

Awareness and sharing are key issues today.

Getting in touch with brands or museums means getting in touch with a vision. That’s why we believe there are many common aspects between cultural and commercial messages: as shops must be places where, beyond the purchase, it is crucial to learn something about the brand, similarly cultural places must become everyday more pragmatic, empathetic and engaging.

Thanks to the ambassador Giuseppe Di Murro for the interesting meeting in which we shared ideas for future projects. Here some photos together with Kiyotaka Iwami, our onsite representative. ⁠

The Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Japan is a nice intersection of japanese details, Italian modern design taste and influence of Frank Lloyd Wright style. ⁠

The garden of the residence, apparently designed by the Buddhist abbot Osho Takuan, is one of the most ancient gardens of Tokyo already existing certainly in the seventeenth century.⁠

We were deeply impressed by the intimate knowledge the ambassador has of this magical place, and above all by his passion for its protection and conservation. ⁠⁠⁠⁠

MIND is a lively new district, a large area in which ongoing construction sites and completed buildings coexist in a crescendo of continuous transformation.
Everyday a lot of people cross its street and in this huge area wayfinding certainly plays a key role in terms of orientation and identity.

We firmly think that enriching innovation in the world of design and architecture through an increasingly lively dialogue between past and future is something crucial that should concern us all.

That’s why we are more than happy to announce that Ico Migliore was invited to join the Scientific Committee of Fondazione Albini, the institution that for years has disseminated and enhanced the archive of the master of Italian Rationalism who has always been a source of inspiration for us both for his cultural and for his spiritual and professional heritage.

We are more than delighted that the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio , last saturday visited the new headquarters of in Venice, a place that we conceived in the design as a place for hospitality and discovery, focused on inclusion and social innovation.

During the visit, the President had the opportunity also to explore the interactive exhibition "A World of Potential," dedicated to personal human potential development.

In the pic, architects Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto portrayed in their house. Behind them, a series of five large drawings by Guido Crepax, experiments of Abet Laminati from the 70s, that were given by Guido Jannon and that follow them in every move since their university years in Turin.

Door magazine asked Ico and Mara to show a corner in their house and they could not make it to share their favorite spot: the music corner.

In the centre of the pic, a perfect replica of a "Parlor Martin" of the 30s that was created for Ico Migliore by an extraordinary Italian luthier, a unique gift from one of his dearest friend, Luigi M., a visionary entrepreneur, music lover and great guitarist.

What challenges will characterize the design of the of the future?

We are happy to announce that tomorrow at 10 am Ico Migliore will be at in Milan to join , a conference organized by Spazio Progetto and Confimprese focused on Retail Building Management.

In the pics the digital installation designed for the Giada milanese showroom that drew on the concept of the Ideal City to build up a form of immersive storytelling focused on Italian heritage from the Renaissance period. ⁠⁠

We conceived The Home of the Human Safety as a place for hospitality and discovery, focused on inclusion and social innovation.

We are happy to announce that it has been selected by the Permanent Observatory of Design ADI for publication on the ADI Design Index 2023, in the category Ehxibition Design. The biennal volume collects all the projects and products that run for the XXVIII Compasso d’Oro Award.

Where our upcoming project will take place? Here a clue. It is a library but who can guess which one? We are positive some Milanese students can help...

Over the years we have focused our projects for exhibition spaces towards the concept of the narrative museum, that particular kind of museum capable of becoming again an inclusive place and a space for personal and social enrichment, where all elements of the project are crossed by a kind of narrative dramaturgy. Among our recent publications on the theme, an essay entitled "The ADI Design Museum in Milan: a polyphonic museum" within the book "Museums and Cultural Heritage," published by and edited by .

Museums are places where building cultural bridges becomes possible. ⁠

We are happy to announce that Ico Migliore participated as curatorial guide at the exhibition organized by the Shandong Fashion Design Association at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, focused on the art of dressing of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The study and research of historical pieces, which was the core of the exhibition, was followed by a fashion show that presented visions and trends of contemporary Chinese fashion design.⁠⁠⁠⁠

We are so proud to share that the 2022 edition of the Red Dot Design Award saw prizes given to two projects by Migliore+Servetto: the headquarters of the Foundation in the in - winner in the Interior Design category - and the Waterfront Door / Into the Ocean in in South Korea – in the Urban Installations category.

By selecting the two projects from the hundreds nominated, the international jury identified their motivation for assigning the two awards in the following characteristics: the matrix of inclusion, innovation and sustainability that permeates the entire project, and the simple but powerful colourful gesture of the , which promotes an urban regeneration project.

On 16th September at 21:00 Ico Migliore joins the 4th edition of d’ADA – Arte Design Architettura as invited speaker in dialogue with Giampiero Bosoni in Darfo Boario Terme - Cinema Multisala Garden.

"New Urban Nests. Design between Identity and Hospitality" is the title of his speech that develops an in-depth exploration of the concept of cultural identity in the field of urban design. Design plays a key-role in the cultural reactivation of the social fabric when it is able to draw on the quality of the territory.
