“Under the sea” fingerprint art in year 3!

Year 1 and the Early Years classes went to ‘La Fattoria degli Animali ‘ where they participated in a workshop, learning about some animal facts. They had the opportunity to touch and feed the animals. It was an exciting trip which concluded with a picnic lunch.

Monday our Nursery/Reception class ended the day by relaxing and creating with corn flour.

Year 2 tested their taste buds during today’s reading comprehension.

Many OIS athletes excelled at Tuesday’s competition at Stella Polare stadium. We are so proud of you all!!!!👏👏👏👏

Today was the perfect spring day for the Early Years and Year 1 to do planting in the vegetable patch. The children enjoyed touching the soil and plants and learning about what plants need to grow and survive. 🇮🇹

In preparation for our end of year show, we’re recreating works of art, painting them onto local stones.

Inspired by the author Roger Hargreaves, at OIS we decided to write our own Mr Men stories.

The Early Years children were interested in tracing different kinds of lines with different materials. Once they had finished tracing with materials, they traced the lines with felt tip pens. They concluded the activity by drawing freely and being creative They worked together cooperatively and above all, they had fun!

The children in Early Years enjoyed participating in the creation of their Easter Bonnets celebrating Easter and the arrival of Spring.

Una mattinata alla Lipu Roma di Ostia!

"Today, the children in Reception and Year 1 & Year 2 went to visit the "Centro di Educazione Ambientale di Castel Fusano". They followed the "Giardino Aroma" path, where they were able to learn about different herbs, discovering them through touch and smell, such as garlic, origan, melissa, rosemary and thyme. After observing flora and fauna, the children were ready for their picnic snack. To conclude our visit, they had the opportunity to follow a path and move in ways which wild animals do in their natural habitats. The children were well-behaved and had a fun-filled and educational morning. A big thank you to Antonella and Roberta for being such great guides! "
