Tribal Resistance

Unexpectedly, a previously unreleased album by STALINGRAD VALKYRIE ROMA (formerly Stalingrad and later Stalingrad Valkyrie, but that’s just the same crazy project) will appear on 16 August at the Stella Nomine Festival merchandising stand, kinda detached world premiere. The album is a collection of brand new and previously unreleased tracks, composed between 2001 and 2024 so we like to consider that as being the SVR's 3rd official album, despite containing material spanning more than two decades. Recall that the project started in 1999, so we thought we’d like to celebrate the 25th anniversary with a surprise release. The title is “OSSUARIUM” and comes to surface on a special/deluxe Digipak A5 limited edition of only 200 vinyl-looking hand-numbered CD copies and is to be taken as a preview of the standard edition that will see the light of day later on standard CD, vinyl and digital, we don't know yet through which label: we’re just evaluating the ideas coming in from the guys.
The album was conceived by Elena Alice Fossi and Angelo Bergamini but sees the presence of various collaborators, among whom we like to mention Irene Shapes, i.e. the recent acquisition of Kirlian Camera, who here plays the ‘guzheng’, an ancient Chinese instrument, in which she specialized right in China; she's been adding some vocals, too. We're gonna bring these sounds on stage as well, even in Schwarzenberg and other places. The post-mixing and mastering sessions were made by Willi Dammeier at the Institut für Wohlklangforschung Hannover.
A video for the song 'HERESIARCH' will appear in the next few hours, going to be available in audio form on our Bandcamp shop.
