The long-awaited Graduation Ceremony is coming soon, and with it, the celebration of an extraordinary journey! Last year, we were moved by the inspiring words of Eszter Szarka, a graduate of the Global Master’s in Human Resources Management. Reflecting on her experience, she shared: “Talking with my international classmates, we realized that before we chose Rome Business School, we were all looking for a place that could inspire us and make us feel at home. During our Digital Hackathon, students in the #RBS4Entrepreneurship program passionately collaborated to develop innovative solutions and tackle real challenges. Today we present three projects that embody the spirit of this incredible experience: 1️⃣ UrFridge: an app that makes cooking sustainable and creative by helping users make the best use of ingredients already available, reducing food waste. 🍳💚 2️⃣ Marco David's The Sustainability Train: a platform that supports companies in offsetting their carbon footprint through sustainable actions. 🌍♻️ 3️⃣ Finance GPT by Manuel Ciarniello and Salar Shahabadi: an app that uses AI to deliver personalized financial reports, helping users make informed investment decisions. 💸💡 The Digital Hackathon was just one of many stages in the #RBS4Entrepreneurship program, a pathway that gives students the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality. The Rome International Bootcamp 2024 was an extraordinary event that brought together more than 200 students from around the world, ready to become the leaders of tomorrow. Students participated in this unique adventure, immersing themselves in real business challenges, connecting with world-class professionals and enriching their cultural and professional backgrounds. The Rome Bootcamp was a week of intense learning in which students participated in lectures, mentoring and training sessions on crucial topics such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Sustainability Strategy. Divided into 4 groups they delved into the latest trends in the areas of Fashion and Art, Technology, International Business and Hospitality. Thanks to the participation of companies such as Microsoft, Canon Italia Rocco Forte Hotels and Luisa Via Roma our students faced real business challenges, gaining valuable practical experience and testing their leadership and problem-solving skills. The event concluded with the presentation of the teams' projects and the awarding of certificates of merit, a special round of applause to the winners of the business challenges for their extraordinary commitment and innovation. Congratulations to all students for their commitment and dedication! The closing ceremony was the highlight, celebrating the success and growth of each participant. "It was great to have this experience because we were working on real-world problems for an actual company, not a fictitious one. For me, it’s a valuable experience to add to my Curriculum" said Martin Quinteros, team leader of the first group. Join us in reliving the incredible experience of the International Bootcamp in China! Participants shared how the bootcamp enhanced their understanding of the latest technological trends in e-commerce. They also loved immersing themselves in the vibrant culture of China. Gianluca Pallisco, a student in the International Master Online in Artificial Intelligence, explained why he chose this bootcamp: “I wanted to attend the Rome Business School China Bootcamp because the most important e-commerce platforms are based here. I was eager to explore this sector further, as China is definitely a market leader in the world.” This bootcamp was a perfect blend of education, cultural exploration, and real-world applications. Students returned with unforgettable memories and valuable lessons that they will carry with them. Ash*ta Rajkumaree, an MBA student at Rome Business School, also shared her thoughts on the experience: “I chose to come to this bootcamp because of my strong interest in marketing and my desire to learn about new cultures. It is finally time to discover which team won the Hackathon trophy and gets direct access to the next Selection Day. This project will be among the 14 projects that will present their business ideas in front of the #RBS4Entreprenurship Committee. After careful evaluation, the award for quality and commitment during the three-day Hackathon is given to the startup “Your fridge,” an app that through the use of artificial intelligence shows you what ingredients you have in your fridge helping you create delicious meals and reduce food waste. Congratulations to Regina P. De Gasperis, students of the Global Master in Marketing and Sales at Rome Business School, for her outstanding work and for developing such a practical and impactful solution. “This app embodies the spirit of innovation and sustainability that we aim to promote through RBS Hackathon,” commented Dean Antonio Ragusa, who then continued: “Your Fridge was awarded as the winner of this event because of its clear understanding of its abstract, its well-defined strategy in timing, and the development of its app prototype. The winning project stood out not only for its innovative use of technology, but also for its potential positive impact on our daily lives.” A special mention of appreciation goes to all the mentors who participated in the challenge, helping the startup teams refine the strategy and presentation of their digital MVP. Especially the winning team wanted to thank Valentino Megale, CEO and co-Founder of Softcare Solutions, who supported them team with a one-day mentoring session on artificial intelligence. 🎓 What excites you most about Bootcamp and Italian culture? 🇮🇹 Over 200 international students from all over the world joined for the unforgettable Rome Bootcamp! 🌍✨ During this unique experience, students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test by tackling real-life challenges. Many of these students, who had only met online during their Master program, had the opportunity to get to know each other in person for the first time. They shared personal stories, combined different skills and backgrounds, and collaborated on an entrepreneurial challenge, all while immersing themselves in the magic of the Eternal City. Student Mana Okail, from Egypt and enrolled in the Online Masters in Sustainability and Circular Bioeconomy, told us about her first impressions as soon as she arrived at Rome Business School: "I'm very impressed how organized the bootcamp is with the communication before we even arrived, here everyone is helpful". Thanks to the Rome Bootcamp, many students had the opportunity to get in touch with Italian culture for the first time such as student Alexandra Prado Villareal, enrolled in the International Online Master in Fashion Management who told us: "This is my first time in Rome, it is a very fascinating and exciting city. Definitely a great place to come and learn about fashion, but also about very relevant topics.We are very impressed by the extraordinary Italian culture and the Italian people." Three intense days full of innovation at our Digital Hackathon! 🎉 Students in the #RBS4Entrepreneurship program gained key skills on MVP, mockups and prototyping. From workshops on Figma to mentorship with industry experts, our participants demonstrated creativity and determination. Motivated by a drive for innovation and a desire to make a difference, our students pushed the boundaries of what is possible. Their hard work and dedication were inspiring! “I'm really excited to participate in the RBSEntrepreneurship program because we get a lot of help and support in creating a road map for a product, creating an initial prototype, and finally launching it successfully in the market,” commented Aylin Schatz, International Master in Digital Marketing. 🔜 In the coming days we will announce the winning project that will directly access the next Selection Day. 🌏 Relive with us the incredible experience of the International Bootcamp in China! 🇨🇳 Participants spent an unforgettable week exploring the future of e-commerce and digital marketing in one of the world's most dynamic economies. During the bootcamp, our students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a series of educational and networking activities that enriched their professional and personal journey. 🔹 Specialist Lectures: Students participated in lectures given by qualified faculty, delving into the latest trends, strategies and technologies that are revolutionizing the world of online business. 🔹 Company Visits: Visit some of the leading companies in the industry, including Alibaba, Hikivision and Amazon Global Training HQ, giving participants a unique opportunity to see the operations of these giant e-commerce companies up close. 🔹 Business Project: Participants worked in teams to develop a business project, putting into practice the skills they learned during the week. This exercise allowed them to face real challenges and receive valuable feedback from industry professionals. 🔹 International Networking: The bootcamp was also an opportunity to expand one's network of contacts, meeting students from different programs and backgrounds, as well as representatives from international companies. 🔹 Cultural Program: There was no shortage of opportunities to discover Chinese culture through tours and social activities such as Lingyin temple, Buddhist temples since 328 AD, West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple Hanghzou, Temple of the Soul's Retreat in Hangzhou , Lingyin Temple or Temple of the Soul's and Impression West Lake which further enriched the educational experience. We are excited to share the highlights of the extraordinary week of the Barcelona International Bootcamp, organised by Rome Business School in collaboration with EAE Business School! 📅 From 8 to 13 July 2024, our students immersed themselves in a dynamic environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, embracing the principles of Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping. The adventure began with a unique collaboration with SIMON, an innovative multinational company in Barcelona's vibrant innovation district, Poblenou. Known for its open innovation programme, Simon Electrics welcomed our students to come up with revolutionary ideas for new business ecosystems. During the week, students head the chance to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and history of Barcelona. 🚶‍♂️🏙️ In addition to Simon Electrics, our students collaborated with Innovation Hub Pier 01, Tech Barcelona, enriching their experience with valuable networking and learning opportunities from industry experts. 🎉The week ended with a celebration of innovation, with awards for the best application of the Design Sprint methodology and the most innovative strategy for the company. RBS Career Fair 2024: What a day full of opportunities! On June 21, over 800 Rome Business School students met HRs from 100 leading companies at Spazio Novecento, Rome. More than 2400 interviews in a single day, with a 42% increase in job offers compared to last year! "This year I saw a high increase in terms of level of students’ skills. It’s been a pleasure to find profiles in line with our company," said Cristina Clementi, HR Support at Reanult Group. To date, RBS has more than 1150 companies part of its network with whom students meet on a daily basis, more than 100 activities organized per year such as Business Practice Labs, Company Shadowings, and Company Meetings aimed at training them and creating a bridge with the job market: in 2023 70.1% of RBS students received a job offer before completing the Master and 76.3% had a salary increase during their studies. The Career Fair proves to be another outstanding opportunity for students to get closer to their future job, to make connections, and access professional opportunities to truly boost their careers. Livia di Filippo, student of the International Master in HR & Organization commented: "I came ready to this Career Fair also thanks to the support of the Career Center that gave me very useful tips to prepare and study the companies, to come here ready with a lot of expectations."
