NATO Defense College
The NATO Defense College is the Alliance's premier academic institution. The College is based on three main pillars: education, research and outreach.
We concentrate on the high-level political-military issues that confront both civilian and military leadership in the Alliance and at the national level. We strive to promote debate, to seek consensus, and to master the skills needed to succeed in a multinational environment. The idea of a NATO Defense College (NDC) originated in 1951 from General Eisenhower, who identified the need for a new international institution with a unique educational mission.
How to do strategic foresight ✍️🤔
Foresight is on the rise but:
- Foresight is not about predicting or knowing the future;
- Foresight is not a body of expert knowledge;
- Foresight is not an end in itself;
- Strategic foresight goes beyond pure foresight practices and is about integrating foresight into the policy-making process.
