In recent years, the actors involved in the fight against poverty have become increasingly aware of the effects of their actions.
Our objective is to teach ways of analyzing and understanding the problems associated with poverty and food security and provide students with a real “tool box” that can be used in different professional, socio-economical and political contexts. The concept of human development widens the horizons of economic development and represents a new objective for policies and action on a local and global
Last 7th June was the Food Safety Day
🥕Food safety is a fundamental aspect of food security.
ℹ️Food safety refers to the practices observed during the handling, processing and distribution of food to ensure the absence of contaminants that can cause foodborne illness.
🚩According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), nearly one in 10 people in the world gets sick each year from eating contaminated food. The problem affects all countries.
♻️Everyone who produces, processes, transports, stores, prepares, serves and consumes food must use practices that ensure its safety.
🎯Food value chains must ensure healthy food for consumers, but also develop production, processing and distribution processes that have low environmental impacts and are socially and culturally acceptable

♻️Reconnecting soil, sustainability and food is key to achieving the 2030 Agenda's HungerZero goal
According to the world social report #2023 via :
⏺ Globally, a baby born in 2021 could expect to live, on average, almost 25 years more than a newborn from 1950, reaching 71 years, with women outliving men by an average of five years❗️
⏺ Population ageing is an inevitable result of the demographic transition towards longer lives and smaller families.
⏺ By #2050, the number of persons aged 65 years or older is expected to double, surpassing 1.6 billion.

The world’s 10 hungriest countries in 2022‼️
🔴 This year’s GHI brings us face-to-face with a grim reality: A toxic cocktail of conflict, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic has already left millions exposed to food price shocks and vulnerable to further crises..
🔴 As we face the third global food price crisis in 15 years, it is clearer than ever that our food systems in their current form are inadequate to the task of sustainably ending poverty and hunger. This is especially true in countries that face the highest rates of undernourishment, child wasting, stunting, and child mortality due to malnutrition.
⏺ According to the GHI, # Yemen🇾🇪 is the world’s hungriest country for #2022,due to the civil war and its dependance on food imports.
African Republic comes in the 2️⃣place and 3️⃣ place with GHI score in #2022 reached to 44.0 and 38.7.
