🍃 To counter global warming, of which the rapid glacier retreat is one of the most visible signs, a determined shift towards increasingly using renewable energy must be undertaken. This is one of the central research and innovation themes for the alliance of European universities UNITA, which the University of Brescia is also part of. Attention to natural resources and the peculiarities of mountainous and peripheral areas is another prerogative of the UNITA alliance. 👉 The Università degli Studi di Brescia and sound artist Sergio Maggioni were recently featured on Linea Bianca TV show on Rai 1 Italian national tv channel. The episode highlighted the Adamello glacier and its "breath" through the artistic-scientific project "Un Suono in Estinzione” (A Sound in Extinction), which, since 2021, has been capturing sounds generated by the movement and melting of the glacier. 🏆And the winners of Green Mobilities Hackathon are... 🌍You were more than 61 students, divided into 13 teams coming from all the UNITA alliance to compete on the occasion of the 2nd edition of the Green Mobilities Challenge. 🚲Following the 1st phase of ideathon, several innovative ideas had emerged. The use of the bike had then appeared as a promising theme and a great source of inspiration. Thus, the hackathon was centered on : "How to promote cycling in the every day life as means of transport ?" You had 24 hours to produce a concrete and complete solution.
